Buchanan - Where are the Christians?

Where are the Christians?
But what Israel is doing is imposing deliberate suffering on civilians, collective punishment on innocent people, to force them to do something they are powerless to do: disarm the gunmen among them. Such a policy violates international law and comports neither with our values nor our interests. It is un-American and un-Christian.
But where are the Christians? Why is Pope Benedict virtually alone among Christian leaders to have spoken out against what is being done to Lebanese Christians and Muslims?
When al-Qaida captured two U.S. soldiers and barbarically butchered them, the U.S. Army did not smash power plants across the Sunni Triangle. Why then is Bush not only silent but openly supportive when Israelis do this?
Democrats attack Bush for crimes of which he is not guilty, including Haditha and Abu Ghraib. Why are they, too, silent when Israel pursues a conscious policy of collective punishment of innocent peoples?

Frankly, Israel bores me and I wish Pat write more about the USA but his take on Israel's invasion is interesting.

the Christian leader of Lebanon installed by Israel in 1982 and was preparing to sign peace agreements with Israel was assasinated by Hezbollah before it could happen. The leader described himself as Sadat II. Indeed he was. The Christians were so angered that their militias slaughtered huge Hezebollah "civilians." The "massacre" is still construed as the principal basis for vilifying contemporary Israel-- those Israeli troops did not commit the violent acts. Hezbollah has now twice assasinated major compromise leaders of Lebanon.
The idea that Israel is anti-Christian to Lebanon is straight out lying by Pat. He absolutely knows this history but knows he can prey on ignorance of the public to incite a possible backlash in the Christian community. I guess he really is petty to realize that his Realist perspective maintained millions of Arabs in a vast Islamic gulag that is now coming unravelled and he just can't come to grips with it.
What a jerk he has become.

I think he left out a few facts. Jihad Pat tends to do that...he makes it sound like all the widdle ayrabs did was capture 2 Israeli soldiers. But, what about the withdrawal from Gaza and land for peace? What about the missiles from Lebanon and Gaza rained down on civilians? What about the eight soldiers ambushed and killed by Hezbollah coming across the border as a clear act of war? Patsy, Patsy, Patsy...we get it. And we get you too rc...are you flying the crescent flag outside your window?

Pat Buchanan complains about Israel leveling Hezbollah strongholds. I have yet to hear him reproach Hezbollah for the kidnappings and murder of hundreds of Americans back in the 80s. True Christians as well Jews, understand the Hezbully Islamofascists are Iran Incorporated.

JERUSALEM - A Hezbollah rocket attack Wednesday on the mainly Arab town of Nazareth killed two people, Israeli authorities said. The two were killed by a direct hit from a Katyusha rocket, the army said.
Nazareth, in northern Israel, is revered as the hometown of Jesus and is filled with churches. It is about 19 miles from the Lebanese border.
Previous attacks during the eight days of rocket barrage have hit the nearby Jewish town of Upper Nazareth, but the latest wave was the first to hit a holy city.

I find it interesting that all Americans at times freely criticize our own country's foreign policy and they are not called anti-American for doing so.. However, if anyone around here dares to criticize Isreal's foreign policy, he is immediately branded an anti-Semite.

I have yet to hear him reproach Hezbollah for the kidnappings and murder of hundreds of Americans back in the 80s. Why should Pat care about that? It's not like they murdered hundreds of Germans.
