I knew this one had to be DUFU'd.
Not a one mentioned membership in MENSA.
(Course I turned MENSA down..I didn't realize it wasn't *ahem* ---- a bathhouse)
12th?!
"this could be devisive. I am sorry. -Skinner"
Too bad. This would have been one of the funniest DUmmy groups around.
Yesterday, they were "framing" themselves as smart, sensititve geniuses, with a prediliction toward over-analysis and depression, who could not get along with other people, and who had been deeply and permanently disturbed by being identified as "gifted" as children, despite being unable to progress beyond the strictly mediocre as adults.
Darn, it would have been entertaining.
They're confusing 'gifted' with being in the 'special-ed' class... during their years in pubic screwl.
Norm!
Capitalization must be for "Norms" only.
You figure they would just qualify everyone on DU, since they're all convinced of their mental superiority over the rest of the sheeple.
That's too bad about Skinner nixing the group. It would have provided endless material for our entertainment.
Howard Dean was certainly gifted. His mommy and daddy gave him a great big trust fund so that he need never worry.
The all-time best DU response on any thread:
"There is no end to the foolishness on this site."
That is the brilliant and gifted person.
Did you see the sarcastic threads yesterday about suggestions of group of average people, not super-intelligent people, etc? hilarious.
If the, ahem, "above-average" people didn't have a complex before, they will now, roflmao.
ALso, have you noticed all the pro-Israeli DUers lately? They've been very vocal. I'm pleasantly surprised. They've been standing up for Israel on all the Israel-Hizbullah threads. Very loud and in their face, and calling longtime DUers anti-semitic. It's been a hoot to watch the pro-terrorists DUers sputter and spit when confronted with facts, lol.
Go pro-Israel DUers!
I was watching "Everybody Loves Raymond" yesterday and it struck me that on that show (as well as many, many others) they spend a lot of time talking about High School and even Elementary School.
Is this "normal?" I had a pretty crappy time of it in school -- I as the little guy that they all beat up on. But except when it is pointed out, specfic events in my child life have zero direct influence on my life. I barely even remember people from then, much less events.
Do people older than 20 really sit around and talk and think about their school days?
Ah, yes, another winner in "Life's Lottery"....
