I think the most FUn way to watch the Congressional Race in the 50th Congressional District in the San Diego area is via watching the DUmmies in Real Time watching the results come in. They must have had their hopes up especially after watching last night's CBS News report on this special election to fill Duke Cunningham's seat because CBS portrayed it as a choice between Saint Busby vs Bilbray the Anti-Christ. Of course, NO mention was made of the HUGE campaign gaff made by Busby who said that illegals could help get her elected. (If anyone can find the video link to that CBS Report, please forward it to me here and I will update this DUFU edition with it for ALL to see.) Therefore the DUmmies went into this special congressional election with high hopes only to be dashed on the Rocks of Reality later as you can see in this THREAD titled, "Busby >> Bilbray race." You can see the comments in DUmmie Real Time (EDT) as the tragic results come in. As usual, the DUmmie hopes soon to be crushed are in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, consoling the DUmmies with the fact that they won a meaningless "Moral Victory," is in the [brackets]:

Elbridge Gerry invented the gerrymander, i.e., the drawing of congressional districts to produce desired outcomes.
The Democrats started doing it prior to the 1932 election (there was a political jamup in the farm states that prevented redistricting after the 1920 census) and used it to maintain their artificial majorities from 1932 to 1994.
The 1994 GOP gains resulted from the 1988 renewal of the civil rights act that required the creation of so-called 'majority-minority' districts--i.e., Black and in a few cases Hispanic districts. You wall off your ethnic minorities in 90% Democrat districts, and then the non-hispanic white Democrats have to fight it out head to head with the Republicans on the ground.
Once that is accomplished, drawing districts that create an unkillable GOP majority is child's play, particularly with today's computer software.
I should amend the statement: we're guarenteed a GOP majority in the HOUSE until 2022 because demographic trends continue to favor the GOP until at least the 2012 redistricting--largely because Democrats abort themselves out of power far more than Republicans do (Dems get 3 abortions for every 2 GOP--there was a great article in the Wall Street Journal on this a few years back).
Of course, the Senate could go Democrat, if there's a collective meltdown of the good sense of the American people. The House, however, is pretty safely ours for the foreseeable.
On the latter point, yes, just the common example.. as for the first point, have you been to Mexico lately, there aren't any Mexicans left.. it seems as they move north, Hondurans just move up.. :->

Hey I was just gonna call ya a du'er or a burch or a pitt or an old lefty lawyer or something, but on second thought I won't.
The way I see it is that some like diluting our languange, our culture and our borders. And some don't. I am in the don't crowd. I understand the power play for the illegal vote, but I don't play that game on either side of the aisle.
