I love going to Apple's website and watch the trailers for upcoming films. The other day, I ran across one for a documentary that's opening June 30th called Who Killed the Electric Car? According to the trailer, GM came out with what would hopefully become a commercially viable electric car in 1996. But after a few years, it pretty much disappeared, never to be heard from again. No surprise, the trailer flat-out accuses the oil companies and George W. Bush (is there anything this man isn't guilty of in the minds of liberals?) of quashing the electric car in the interest of big oil profits. Bottom line: if not for oil companies and their powerful buddies like George W. Bush, we would all be driving electric cars today. If you go just by the trailer, it's a pretty cut and dry case.
Of course, I wasn't content to simply go by the trailer. What I found was more evidence of the elitist, self-righteous hypocrisy possessed by environmentalist liberals.
Bush and Rove, roaming the time stream, fighting progress at every juncture in history.
Global cooling in the 1800s? Bush was there.
Global Warming at the end of the last Ice Age? Bush was there.
Killing the electric car concept in 1995 or 1996? Bush was there... each time.
George W. Bush + Karl Rove + Time Machine + Climate Control Machine = Oil
Did you know what caused the mass extinctions? Bush did it, to make more biotic oil. It wasn't an asteroid or super volcano.
It is only with maturity that good sense comes.
In some ways, liberalism is like homosexuality. It is a kind of Peter Pan complex...a denial of reality.
I long suspected President Bush used a Halliburton-manufactured time machine to send U.S. troops to the past (unilaterally, of course), to commit heinous war crimes and atrocities against the poor, defenseless dinosaurs. I think we are lucky that doctor from Jurassic Park found that DNA. I just hope the dinosaurs don't come to the U.S.
I agree that it's immaturity gone wild. I also think it has to do with the fact that they see their life as being in danger of extermination by disagreeing with the Dem. Talking heads. Didn't someone in Billy Clinton's admin. magically commit suicide? Yeah right! Didn't anyone who opposed the Kennedy's magically see the same fate? So, the message being sent seems to be, "If you oppose me, you're toast"...
