For those who continue to hope that the Europeans or the United Nations can find a diplomatic solution to the growing threat of Iranian nuclear development, I say it is a waste of time. The continuing verbal masturbation taking place between the Europe, the impotent United Nations, and Iran is achieving only one thing; it is buying the Iranians more time to achieve their nuclear ambitions.

The Left in the United States bashed Bush for marching into Iraq in what they have deemed to be a reckless and precipitous fashion. When it comes to Iran President Bush has taken the European approach of pursuing every diplomatic means conceivable to deal with Iran. While I agree with the method by which we deposed Saddam Hussein, I vehemently disagree with the approach President Bush and the Europeans have taken in dealing with Iran.

Given the fact that Iranian President Ahmadinejad has called for “wiping Israel off the face of the earth”; given that he has openly initiated a law calling for Christians and Jews to wear badges so that they can be identified; and given that he has openly thumbed his nose at the Europeans, the United Nations, and the United states, it stands to reason that diplomacy will not be effective with this lunatic

The comparisons to Hitler are becoming more apparent with each passing day.

As if the lunacy of the Iranian President weren’t already apparent, he is once again pushing the envelope. The new law, if ratified, would require both Christians and Jews to wear badges to identify them. This instantly brings back images of the Holocaust.
