I expect Moussaoui will in time be given to France to serve his jail sentence where he will shortly be released. To show his gratitude to France, he will then recruit, train and direct suicide bombers and other various Muslim malcontents to attack French targets. Eventually the French will surrender and make Moussaoui the Prime Imam of France at which point President Hillary Clinton will invite him to the White House for a state dinner.

I don't blame the jury for this -- they were I think considering what they were allowed to consider. The blame really goes to 30 odd years of liberal interpretations of the Constitution. Since Miranda, the emphasis has been on the criminals' rights to the detriment of the rights of the victims and their loved ones. Yes, the jury could have considered the testimony from the loved ones, but evidently, it chose not to -- but rather, Moussoui's allegedly terrible childhood. That in my opinion should not have even been a factor in the jury's deliberations.
And yes, as others have said, had this been tried in a military court, the outcome would have been much different, I'm sure.

The jury just sympathized with the, bat-out-of-hell, because it takes one to know one. And thieves and robbers help one another, don't ya know...

A co conspirator with the killing of 3000? Life? Stands to reason must have been at least one nutty liberal in the jury.

Islam is not a religion; it embodies no concept of spirituality. Islam is a political system. The 'peace of allah' is the peace of ultimate submission, never having to question, never having to decide, just to do as you are told; the peace of the hive, a queen named allah and her many drone workers. Islam is a system of coercion. Islam IS a terrorist support network |

Good post. Thanks.
I believe Moussaoui was not shy to tell what he thinks about America, its just too many people adapted a point-view that they must be so enlightened as to be above revenge or punishment.
You are right, they missed an opportunity to send a message, when this whole war is about the message. Osama and all various Jihadists believe that their will is stronger than ours. Before 9/11 they were interpreting our actions as a message that America is a paper tiger and can be influenced to ultimately do what they want. On a large scale they were mistaken and overplayed their hand to their detriment. But in Moussaoui case and unfortunately many times after 9/11, we sent many contradicting messages that just may be, deep inside, we are a paper tiger.
The Middle East definitely needed an attitude adjustment. Unproductive, jealous, channeling anger arousing from perpetual unsatisfaction into a religious fervor - after 9/11 they received a two pronged message from America and allies: first, you've got to change, and second, its not safe to mess with US.
SO, yes, they will interpret Moussaoui verdict as a message of weakness, and it will hurt our efforts.
