But when the first thing you do when you set foot on American soil is illegal it is flat out wrong and I dont care how many lala land left heads come out of the woodwork and start trying to give me sensitivity lessons.Couldn't have said it better myself.

And what ever happened to the polls guys? I thought you folks were the quintessential finger wetters. Well you sure aint paying any attention to the polls this time because somewhere around eighty percent of Americans want something done about this mess, and mess it is and getting bigger everyday. Of course 80% (or more) of the people want something done about it.
The Devil (and his fiddle) is in the details.

We knew we were not doing our duty as parents when we realized our children saw Charlie Daniels as "that singer on the Veggie Tales DVD". We decided to remedy that quickly.
To: HungarianGypsy
Ummmm, ok. What's "veggie tales" anyway?

It's a children's video series that tells Bible stories using animated vegetables. Not as weird as it sounds. http://www.veggietales.com I like them, because they are not preachy and the kids want to hear the real Bible stories afterward.

Good catch, you go Charlie.
This cluster coitus created by our corrupt government officials will lead to an absolute disaster. Just because our pols are a bunch of gutless cretins, doesn't mean that there are not others without the guts to bring about massive social upheaval. The 11-30 million Mexican illegal criminals will be responsible for violent retaliation upon all Hispanics.
Once started, long repressed cold anger will flare hot, and it will become impossible to shut off at will once the revenge vendettas begins on both sides.
To: Ursus arctos horribilis
I agree, it could happen that way. I keep hoping someone will wise up before it does.

I hate to say that I am convinced that Monday WILL be mayday and I don't think the name 'mayday' or date is any coincidence. What Charlie missed when he said, "when a few million disillusioned Hispanics take to the streets" is that they already have and our government has allowed it, in masses far beyond the control of any local LE department. This time our government is going to allow them to shut down the entire country and they will turn a blind eye while it is happening, that is until all hell breaks loose and they receive a wake up call like none other. The monster they have created, millions and millions strong, has not just invaded our country, but have declared Viva La Revolucion, La Tierra Mia, and Se Si Puede. They claim they are NOT illegal, they say that OUR country IS their country, WE STOLE IT from them and they want it back NOW. Their leadership has said now is the time. And if what is posted on Malkin's site is true, they will protest 'prepared'. We are not.

Yesterday I just called it "Doing the shopping that illegals won't do day".
To: Ursus arctos horribilis
"(This)will lead to an absolute disaster.","Long repressed cold anger will flare hot.."Well stated and(imo)accurate. Our spineless pols will at the very most pass legislation that in essence will provide amnesty to 12 million or more illegals.Enforcement? That's a joke.Even the toughest law is useless if it's not enforced.Whatever happens,it'll simply be business as usual on the border, and the stream of illegals invading will continue unabated.D-Day?Five to ten years(max).

What a furor it would create if we had a reverse boycott. Sorry guys..you may not come to school today..you may not work today..you may not buy anything at the mall or the grocery store today. Of course, the judicial system would cave under the weight of such an act..and it really wouldn't be too productive.
There is no way to deport the number of people involved. A guest worker program may have to be the answer. But, if they entered the country illegally, there should be no chance for citizenship or voting rights. Any felons should be deported, immediately.

His columns are always good--but this one is among the best. I'm just sorry they moved it to Blogs. He's a columnist every bit as good--no, BETTER--than the ones cranked out in MSM, who are not relegated to the back rooms of this place, but given space on the "news" pages of FR.

Me too, and there are probably more than a few reasons they did that....talking about them all could earn one a break from this forum for a while though.
