"Well, I have downed a few good brews brought back by military personnel, but what else?"

Every time we need to bomb somewhere or we have injured people overseas, Germany is usually the base.

Wonder how that opinion will be the first time Germans see a Shahab contrail (or several) over their country.

That's interesting. 100 percent of the people in this household don't buy German car and never will.

Fine. Let's get ALL of our troops out of Germany immediately. Countries like Poland would gladly host our troops at a much cheaper cost.

I wonder what percentage of Germans remember how we kicked their asses when they wanted to be world conquerers.

If the German's perceive the US as a threat then they would be wise to snap-to.

Shows you how grateful they are to us for living under our protection and billions upon trillions of $$$ spent in protecting their stinking butts for 60 years from the Soviets. I spent 10 years of my 20 on active duty in the Army in Germany. I met a lot of nice and respectful Germans. But, I can tell you now, that for the most part, they did not like us, did not want us there except for the protection (like put us behind a glass door and break it in the event of war). They were disrespectful, mean and sometimes down right rude.

On one particular occasion, in Munich, a very good friend of mine went shopping down town with this wife. While in the store, the lady clerk saw the husband was an American soldier and started talking trash to another clerk about Americans, my friend and his slutty American wife. Then, my friend's wife turned and started responding to this clerk in German. Little did the stupid clerk know that my friend's wife was GERMAN! And, he also spoke German. They found the manager and filed a complaint about this woman's behavior. They saw her in the store some time later, so she was not fired for it.

I would just rate my own personal experiences with Germans as "fair", not great and wonderful. I met some rude ones and I met some nice ones. Of course, a lot of GI's caused problems, but they were dealt with by commanders when they misbehaved downtown.

The world just keeps getting crazier and crazier.

The best rapper is a white guy,,,,

the best golfer is a black guy,,,,

the French think we're arrogant,,,,

and the Germans don't want to go to war!!

How crazy can things get?

45% of Germans probably think that police are more responsible for crime than criminals too.

Ramstein is an important forward base, I would take years to build a comparable base is, say, Bulgaria.

A friend of mine went there a few months ago to Munich. He said that the news media is the biggest reason for that thought. He stated that nothing said is positive about the US.

This from a country that has facilitated Iran's nuclear developments. Shameful again.

The young ones don't even remember how hard their grandparents had it. Sixty years is a longwhile. When I c ame first the Germany in the late '60s, it was not unusual to see men with one arm or one leg, or sitting in a wheel chair. All those men are dead or hidden away in nursing homes.
