Destroying extra-Islamic culture and soceity is central to the Islamic dogma. Muslims have excuted the same with unfailing conviction since the inception of Islam 14 centuries ago.

Inception? More like a forced birth since the Phony Prophet could only gain converts mostly through war and conquest.

Ah, what could have been if his career had been cut short. Zoroastianism (which was a pretty cool religion for its time, and which might have influenced both Christianity and Bhuddism) might be the main religion in the Middle East today.

If the bomb with the lit fuse had actually exploded on the 'prophet''s head, we wouldn't be having all these problems today

That should be a statement not a question.

I think the main problem with Islam, and it will never change, is they refuse to separate "Church and State".

We can't bomb them back to the Middle Ages because they never advanced that far.

islam is not a religion. It's a murderous political ideology akin to National Socialism, Italian Fascism, Soviet Communism, or the Bushido military beliefs of Imperial Japan.

It's every bit as dangerous to the civilized world as any of the above were and needs to be dealt with in exactly the same way.

We no longer allow Nazism to exist as a serious political movement on this planet and we shouldn't allow islam to exist either.

It is a religion. It is a murderous, bloody, treacherous religion, but it is still a religion.

We are the ones who have been duped. "Separation of Church and State". We are supposed to believe that our government can act and do things, things that are somehow totally separate and not dependent on our core beliefs?

The only way government can become superior to the moral and ethical beliefs of the people is to convince them that it has nothing to do with religion.

And it takes only a short study to see that English law, the common law, the history of American law and the Constitution and Bill of Rights are totally based on Christian principles.

The only religious 'equivalent' I can find to islam is Thugee which flourished in India. Here's a snippet:

Though sporadic attempts were made to the extinction of the gangs it was not till Lord Bentinck (governor general of India 1833-35) took vigorous steps that the system was seriously attacked. Between 1831-37 the British hanged nearly 4000 Thugees and the cult was presumed eradicated.

While Thugee is technically a religion, it was one founded on violence and murder, just as islam was.

I don't waste my time trying to understand Islam. All I need to know about Islam I learned on 9/11. Terrorism in the name of "religion" is the ultimate form of evil, the ultimate method of manipulation. And the fact that the vast majority of Muslims, whether passively or actively support all terrorist acts against all non-Muslims implicates the entire "religion".

We are not at war with Islamic "extremists". We are at war with Islam.

Hey, don't you know the 9/11 muslims were poor? No they weren't.
Don't you know they were uneducated?
No they weren't.
Don't you know they weren't exposed to the west?
Yes they were.

Economic progress, education, western life plus Islam=killers.

I understand what you are saying, and it is a good response. Believe me, I am not advocating that all the sudden America becomes a country of government mixed with say, Christian fundamentalism or Catholicism.

I guess what I am saying is we can't totally separate moral aspects from government. If we do, we get exactly the only thing that can result - a government without morals.

A government without morals trying to babysit and decide what the morals of the people should be.

What a mess!!!
