What is wrong is the refusal to move from generalization to distinction when new proved information is obtained. Then it becomes bigotry. Before then its perfectly rational.
Much like I've done by posting this linked and footnoted article. Can we begin discussing it now or are we going to dance around the issue all night?

How do you debate something when you do not agree on the terms being used?

You have stated a case that all generalization is wrong. You further make the implied case that because Freepers generalize all freepers must be wrong.

How does one debate someone who has generalized and refuses to make distinctions?

Raycpa's post didn't dance. It was a very good explanation as to why people generalize. It's built into our survival instincts.
