I'm not that big on sign up dates, but when someone opines about the way things used to be way back when, and "way back when" turns out to be 90 days ago, it detracts somewhat from the gravitas of their recollection.

Frequently readers post comments with racial slurs

Without links, it is a vague generalization. Sorry, but this repug/repuke/rethug (who voted twice for "****," or as he is called by most around here, President Bush; and would like to vote for him a 3rd time but can't), doesn't much go in for vague generalizations. They do that well over at DU. Here at FR we face rigorous peer review; link to a source or prepare to be called on it.

DU has many conspiracy or coverup threads (you can look these up yourself: do a site search for "LIHOP" or "MIHOP" and see for yourself) for 9/11 events. I prefer photographs, which I notice aren't shown much on TV any more. The press say they are considering the impact these photos would have on the families; I guess that may be a legitimate excuse. It is my right not to agree with them.

I think what you call "racial slurs" may be reaction to having been attacked.

All that having been said, this is still a free country; go somewhere else if you don't like it here.
