benburch has a very serious paranoia: he believes that the people in power actually care who he is and perceive him as a threat, and that his life in in danger from them. He's stated on more than one occasion that he expects to be killed for his Very Important Work with the White Rose Society.
Clinically speaking, such paranoid delusions arise out of a perception of impotence and powerlessness. The mind, rebelling at the unacceptable truth, retreats into a fantasy world where the poor patient is of the highest importance, a dangerous rebel against the established order. To maintain this fantasy, the sufferer invents a series of illusory enemies who are "out to get" him. The victim will often boast of the powerful nature of these enemies, in order to puff up his own importance and hopefully gain the admiration and approval of his fellows.
This is a tragic condition. There's nothing funny about it, and it's horribly insensitive to laugh at it. Poor benburch needs help; it's hard to imagine a worse situation for his mental health than the one he's in, where his delusions are reinforced and strengthened by equally-deluded peers. Making fun of benburch for his mental illness is like making fun of a cancer patient. He can't help it. He's sick.
Call me insensitve, then, I guess.
The inmates run the asylum. They'll never get the help they need. Too big of a network of losers pulling them down.
Cindy Sheehan will never recover because she has allowed her mourning to be exploited by those who hate this country more than they love her or her son.

You nailed it, lock-stock-and-barrel, right in the bulls's-eye. I've seen a lot of analyses of the DUmmie "benburch," and this says it all, all by itself.
In case you didn't know this, the DUmmie "benburch" has alleged far-and-wide on the internet that his late father was, uh, not a good man, which if true explains much of his anger and hate, and sense of powerlessness.
I'll laugh as the men in white coats drag him away. He's no more like a cancer patient than I am an illegal alien.
Well, words I can print here, anyway.
I can't help it either. He/they are just TOO DAMNED FUNNY!!!!
