When I was at tech school, there was an argument that used to go around among the crew chiefs, the "my plane is more important" argument. The bomber guys said they would beat the enemy into submission, the fighter guys would say without them the bombers wouldn't reach the target (and we support types would get shot down, too) and we tanker toads would remind them that without aerial refuel they wouldn't even get to the war zone in the first place.

But in my opinion, the cargo guys won the argument: No cargo planes, no parts, no food, no flying.
