Hi Frank,
How are things on the frozen prairie? We're freezing down here in Florida, for gosh sake's. Glad to see a DUFU today, I thought I'd have to suffer DUFU withdrawals.
Not so sure about Hillary's chances, myself. The "name recognition" sword cuts both ways, and recent polling shows, what, about 44-51% say they absolutely will not vote for her (depending on the poll). The RATs might be spooked by that number.
But then I forgot - Karl Rove has WILLED that Hillary WILL be their candidate! Muah-hahahahahaha!
Apparently Warner was one of the founders of Nextel. But, get this, he used his connections as a Senate aide to Chris Dodd, to form Nextel and work with a lot of other cell phone companies.
Top 50
The prairies--actually, the Sandhills--aren't freezing, and alas for us, because we really could use some wet stuff--either snow or rain--in the ground.
We had minus temperatures the first week of December 2005, and since then, it's been circa 35-50 every day, even as high as 70; there was actually one day in January when Nebraska was warmer than Lost Angeles or Phoenix.
And this, here in Nebraska.
But in all seriousness, some white stuff would not hurt, and the more the better.
Crouching Warner, Hypno Tizer
Mark Warner reminds me a little of some BORING dentist that a cousin of mine married named Miles. The first time I met the guy, I was bemused by how BORING this guy was. In fact, me and another cousin, Cousin Jerry, stayed up half the night laughing our asses off telling "Little Miles" jokes. The theme of these jokes was how incredibly boring Miles was.
"Wake UP, people! I want to interact with you!"
I'm wondering, if Warner ever campaigns in South Florida, I should attend the event. Then when Warner painfully tries to make small talk with us ordinary folks, I should tell him the story of the guy drinking that rum drink at a public urinal just to see his reaction.
I saw him on a piece of toast:
It's a sign.
What a choice!
That's sad. Really.
Sorry, DUmmie...Charisma is something that you either have, or you don't. I don't think it's something you can "cultivate".
This DUFU was a pleasant surprise after reading that there wouldn't be one until Wednesday. Thanks, PJ!
P.S. I think I could have done without the story about the drunk at the urinal, however. Ick! Way too much info.
"They do have a funny fundraising graphic on their site though. LOL."
Whose site? Link, please.
The DU site itself - linked under "Thread" in PJ's post. Its a graphic of a boxing glove extending to hit Bush. Pretty creative & funny.
"In trying to oust an incumbent, personality traits are absolutely essential..."
The President is going to run again in 2008??!! This IS Breaking News!
"Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?"
D'oh! Thanks...
