WHAT A PICTURE - AT OVER TWO MILES AWAY!!
Here is what technology can do in a war zone. The pictures were taken from an AC130 Specter gunship two and a half miles away.
The guys in the picture are setting up a roadside bomb and planning to ambush an American convoy which followed a short while after the pictures were taken. They were setting up for the ambush and were pacing off the distance from the bomb to where the convoy was to pass by.
Turn your sound up.

It was on thatvideosite.com last year. It is from an Apache helicopter. Notice the perspective never moves. If it was a C-130 the camera would have been always moving. That or the C-130 was parked.

This is very old, I saw it and downloaded it at least a year ago. BUT IT IS WORTH ANOTHER LOOK. I LOVE IT!! And to think, these are the same Spectre's we had in 'Nam!!

I hope hope that I'm not so cold that I would like having the job of those gunners, but I can't say for sure.
Amazing video. Someone should post links to it on antiwar sites just to hear them howl... "No PROOF that it was a weapon! Shot a dieing man in the back! blah blah blah..."
War sucks big ones.

Classics like that clip just never seem to grow old!
The US weapon sounded like a Chain Gun, so I'm going to say it was an Apache and not a Spectre.

AC-130s circle the target.
This is a real old clip that has been posted here many times.
With that said, it's still a great thing to view.
Thanks for posting it again.

Well, they are the same as the ones in 'Nam, but they've been updated and upgraded quite a bit. Mainly, I understand that they have state of the art computer tracking of multiple targets and fire control that makes them incredibly accurate. I thought the armament configuration was also changed somewhat to give them more punch.
