Do you mean the two failed generals of the Soviet union who were kicked out when they tried to return to communism in a coup with Gorbechev, and were latter found trying to help Sadam, and reviled in the Russian press?

Those generals were sent by Putin, it is very well known now.

Those generals were out of Russia long before Putin and numerous decorated veterans on FR have repeatedly refuted this urban legend, which is part of a greater liberal myth used to attack Bush pre-election.

Yeah, right, nobody can f*rt in Russia without Putin's say so!

Don't forget that all the liberals are controlled, paid and directed by KGB/GRU since 1920s - and you are protecting KGB!

I get tired of hearing this crap. I have been to Russia many times since 2000, and not once have I been stopped on the street by the police and checked...not once.

Gee, I dunno, I've f#rted plenty of times in Russia and nary a FSB/GRU agent darkened my doorstep. I take it you haven't been to Russia in a while, if ever?

I in fact recall passing gas there myself, in fact I recall rating loudly in my apartment about what communism was and why it's stupid.

Neither led to FSB agents.

Here it is the same task force again! Gary the Spook, His Majesty Romanov, iliterate x58789 10 and so on to the eternity...

And every one of them has a predefined role: Gary begins his spam on every Russian thread with a statement that he's never been stopped by police in Russia, and continues, doesn't matter what, with Putin being a born again Christian; the ignoramus x with multiple digits will try direct lies, and when disclosed (look at the link Stealth posted) will keep silence on the specific question inventing in the same time new lies; His Majesty Romanov will clumsily imitate 'intelligent debate' pushing in the same time the old tired Agitprop...

Hey boys, why don't you voluntarily go to the Smoky Back-room and leave those who are really interested in exchange of serious opinions alone? Or do you really belong, as some say, to the Putin's Internet Brigade (not unlike Al Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade) and make nuisance of yourselves for wages?

>I have talked both loudly and harshly about communists in >Russia without one problem.

Try creating a party and running for a president.. Or opening a TV channel and try to stand independent of Kremlin's say so..

The last few guys who tried this - one in jail, the other was found drugged in Ukraine, TV companies were taken over by SWAT teams..

People like Kasparov or Kasyanov who are in opposition to Putin find that all conference halls/theaters in Russia where they planned to speak suddenly close for a "Renovation" or there is some kind of "Police Operation" going on at the same time..
