I heard what appeared to be a tearful Lincoln Chaffee today saying he's pro-choice, pro-this, pro-that and he can't vote for Alito. I just thought it was funny that it made him cry.

Good - Bush can congratulate him as the newest member of SCOTUS during his State of the Union talk. Any bets on the Dims really blistering their lips with bile in their rebuttals (or even the usual prebuttals)?

They might get it done faster if they didn't think this was some kind of cocktail party.

DU is currently closed to non-registrants, but I bet they're FREAKING. Lucy yanks the football away yet again.

Damn they locked down DU. The DUmmies were still chanting "I believe" this afternoon, desperate to believe the nomination could be filibustered. So now we can't view the melt down in the reality based community.
BTW doesn't the Kerry filibuster remind you of Otter's speech in Animal House:
"... in this case, I think we have to go all out. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture, be done on somebody's part."
And the D's are just the guys to do it!

Surprise, surprise (NOT). Jumpin' Jim votes against cloture.

Regardless.. The GOP needs to make hay out of this issue by portraying the Democrats as obstructionist. Lets not fail to capitalize on this temper tantrum of the far left....

It's so damn funny that DU closes it's threads to lurkers when they are losing on an issue. What a bunch of babies...LOL.
