Dear Fellow Republicans:
I have heard from many of you over the past few years regarding your concern with our open borders and the high number of illegal immigrants in our country. Because I share your concern for our country's security, I have signed on as a co-sponsor to the attached resolution. In order for a resolution to come to the full RNC membership for an up-or-down vote, it requires at least ten co-sponsors. I have joined the following RNC members as one of the ten willing to co-sponsor this resolution:
Alaska June Burkhart
Arizona Randy Pullen
California Barbara Alby
Colorado Bob Schaffer
Louisiana - Kay Kellogg Katz
Michigan Chuck Yob
N. Dakota Curly Haugland
S. Carolina Buddy Witherspoon
S. Dakota Ron Schmidt
Texas Denise McNamara
This issue of border security is a high priority among grassroots Republicans, especially in Texas, and I am proud to take a strong stand for action on the RNC. We will meet in Washington, D.C. from Jan. 18-21, so stay tuned. This will be an interesting vote.

THOUGHTS FROM YOUR NATIONAL COMMITTEEMAN December 29, 2005
Dear Friends,
On December 10 at the SREC meeting here in Austin I indicated that I was preparing and would be filing a resolution for adoption by the RNC addressing the issue of illegal immigration. The resolution has been filed and will be considered by the RNC Resolutions Committee at the RNC Winter Meeting in Washington, D.C. on January 19. The text of the resolution, including the underlined portion which I hope to have the Resolutions Committee adopt as an amendment, is as follows:
RESOLUTION URGING IMMEDIATE CONGRESSIONAL ACTION
ON
ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION
WHEREAS, it is reliably estimated that at least eleven million citizens of other countries have entered and currently remain in the United States in violation of applicable immigration and naturalization laws; and
WHEREAS, the ability of such persons to illegally enter and remain in the Unites States presents a grave risk to the security of the United States; and
WHEREAS, in many instances the resources of national, state and local governmental entities are overburdened and depleted or exhausted by attempts to deal with and meet the needs of such persons after they illegally enter the United States; and
WHEREAS, Republican Party leaders across the country are constantly and vigorously confronted with demands that appropriate legislative action be taken to address and resolve the problems of illegal immigration; therefore be it
RESOLVED that the Members of the Republican National Committee urge that the Congress of the United States, as a matter of the highest priority, take all necessary steps to provide appropriate authority and means to (1) effectively close the borders of the United States to illegal immigration, (2) identify all persons who are currently in the United States in violation of immigration and naturalization laws and arrange for their return to their country of origin as expeditiously as may be reasonably possible, (3) preclude automatic United States citizenship for children born in the United States to persons in the United States in violation of immigration and naturalization laws, and (4) establish a functional guest worker program which includes a reliable means of verifying the identity of each guest worker to his or her employer and provides no preference for those persons presently in the United States illegally.
It will be very interesting to see what the RNC does on this issue. I expect to have an opportunity to urge the adoption of the resolution by the Resolutions Committee and the RNC, and will keep you posted as to what occurs.

"Talk is cheap..."
You got that right!
Thanks for the ping.......crossing fingers
Well, I won't hold my breath. But, they better worry about the ballot box. It is the ONLY issue that impacts our security in every single way possible, that CAN BE CONTROLLED. Simple, it can be done. They better deliver or they will be out living with US.
Simple as this. The ball is out of the House. It is in the Senate. It did not linger long in the House because their damn phones were ringing off the hook in the two days it took to pass the legislation that we wanted. When the Senate comes back into session you let them know what you want. It matters not what the big money campaign contributors want. You have the vote. Ring em up and tell them you vote and that you are watching very closely on this issue. If they don't get the vote they know that the big money contributions don't mean crap. We have never been closer to getting this problem taken care of then now. If you don't beleive it listen to the OBL whine. Call your state Senator even if you think they will vote wrong. If the calls come in thick enough they won't. They also want to remain employed in this day of age. Encourage your friends and relatives to call and say "enough is enough" shut the damn border down and send the illegals home!!! I am done now.
Now THAT's what I'm talkin' about! Is it more than methane?
Good advice, I will join you by making contact with my friends and relatives. Also my employees.
It's time to call our Senators and tell them that we, the American taxpayers/voters demand that they represent US, and if they don't, they can be replaced.
This open borders insanity must stop now!
I was told by a Congressional aid who was answering phones for a Senator that every call is a thousand calls. Most Senators and Representatives know that the majority of people in the USA have never contacted their elected officials. When they do get a call they assume it is a 1000 votes. Pay heed and call like hell. Really it does make a difference. Look at how the House moved on this issue. FAST FAST FAST
Grab a magic marker and write this everywhere.
VAYA A CASA
Is this the same alley, alley, oxen free RNC of the last few years? I hope the sudden 180 isn't just about elections because open borders is literally destroying this nation and has to be stopped.
Peter King says he expects the Senate to attach an amnesty/guest worker program to their bill so if people want to stop the scam of the century that'll ultimately sellout our country to Mexico and Vincent Fox they might want to start calling very soon.
bttt against Illegal Immigration and all it's ills.

Bump!
Good to see. Chuck's good people.
We are now one of the largest Spanish-speaking nations in the world. We're a major source of Latin music, journalism and culture.
Just go to Miami, or San Antonio, Los Angeles, Chicago or West New York, New Jersey ... and close your eyes and listen. You could just as easily be in Santo Domingo or Santiago, or San Miguel de Allende.
For years our nation has debated this change -- some have praised it and others have resented it. By nominating me, my party has made a choice to welcome the new America.George Bush from a campaign speech in Miami, August 2000.
We're not interested in your "new America" George. We have a damn good one as it is.
Dubya is an unprincipled RINO with no allegience to GOP resolutions.
I suspect his true political affiliation is with Mexico's Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI).
