Does Australia have any equivalent to Free Republic...or any space on FR? If so, I'd like to meet some Aussies here.
There are a lot of Aussies on FR. Australia is one of the most intense Internet savvy countries, but their timezone layout puts them on during what is night for most Americans.
BTW.....Senator Bedfellow is a great FR handle.
I wish I hadn't been plastered when I first registered.
:)
..and a couple of Kiwi's too.

I'm a Kiwi.
Tena koe!
I spent several weeks in New Zealand, love the place, would be happy to move there if it weren't Klarkistan. Except for the governance it's a paradise. Some of the friendliest people I've met.
I'll be buggered!
I had no idea there were so many Aussie FReepers!

We're not too happy with Helengrad, either: she rules with the flimsiest of margins, with a Parliament finely-balanced on a razor's edge. These days, it's rather funny to watch her squirm...
We're hosting the 2011 World Cup of Rugby in New Zealand: a great time for the world to visit us. That's the focus of our Nation these days, that's what's important, and "The Sisterhood" can go fly a kite: we have our priorities right!
Cheers from DownUnder!
Gidday Aussie Dasher,
I used to work for a division of Elders IXL, back when John Elliot ran the outfit and the Liberal party from Melbourne, in the mid-80's.
Enjoying my Fosters, even as we speak!
Cheers

Gidday Diehard.
I'm in Melbourne right now. Magnificent day. Ideal for a few frothies!

Soaking up the sun in the Waitakere Ranges, myself. Jungle sounds and Glenn Miller, and a couple-three frothies are on the agenda, definitely. Hammock-time, then the barbie...
We have life pretty good here in the South Pacific, eh?
No complaints from me.
A few more South African wickets wouldn't go astray, though...

Good luck with the Cricket, Mate! Oz is a formidable team.
