DUmmie FUnnies 12-01-05 (DUmmies Demonize MAVERICK Joe Lieberman)

Have you ever noticed that whenever a "moderate" Republican disagrees with conservative positions, he/she is hailed by the media as being a "maverick?" However, whenever a Democrat offers a contrary view to the prevailing liberal line you will NEVER hear of the media applying the "maverick" label to this person. Usually such apostates are treated as kooks such as the case with Zell Miller or are just flat out ignored as what happened this week with Joe Lieberman. If a Republican senator had expressed opposition to the Bush Iraq policy, that senator would have been HAILED in the media and would be invited to appear on all sorts of interview shows. In Lieberman's case, he is being treated as a non-person by the media. Although ignored by the mainstream media, the DUmmies are looking upon Lieberman as a treacherous Emmanuel Goldstein. Yes, they are lined up in front of their computer screens screaming HATE in the direction of Lieberman as you can see in this THREAD titled, "'We Do Have a Plan' (Iraq - Lieberman)" as well as this THREAD titled, "Lieberman in Iraq - American forces will remain until mission complete." So let us now watch the DUmmies begin the Hate Week proceedings in Bolshevik Red while screaming at the screen image of Lieberman while the commentary of your humble correspondent, picturing Pied Piper Pitt as Inner Party Member O'Brien, is in the [brackets]:

Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman, just back from Iraq, wants President Bush to give the American people details about the progress being made in that country - from military triumphs to the proliferation of cellphones and satellite dishes. But Lieberman, D-Conn., who spent Wednesday and Thursday in Iraq, saw strong evidence that a workable American plan is in place. "We do have a strategy," he said. "We do have a plan. I saw a strategy that's being implemented."

[According to that Hartford Courant article, Lieberman is NOT in lockstep with the liberal Democrats. He MUST be tombstoned from the Senate!!!]

The plan is to kill off enough militants and dissidants so that the US armed and trained neo-colonial regime can more or less control the country. Although I'm sure in Lieberman's fevered brain this somehow means peace and stability.

[Shame on Lieberman for not defining the terrorists as "dissidents."]

Hey Lieberman, go F* yourself! change party already. Whining stinking bastard!

[You are hereby appointed as the Group Think Leader of the Hate Week Festivities.]

How do we go about kicking him out of the party?

[All who do not engage in GroupThink MUST be PURGED!]

he is really getting Dems in CT upset with his BushCo apologist rhetoric and a lot of us want him GONE

[Lieberman's failure to completely follow the Party Line is making you soil your diapers.]

How can he allow himself to be nothing but a tool for the Bush war machine?

[Rovian Mind Control?]

I always wondered what the pukes found while cleaning up the anthrax. what a great way to get access to all those offices and computers. By the way have we caught the anthrax mailer yet. No reason, he did his job well for the rePukes.

[I wonder if Karl Rove filed a 1099 form for the anthrax mailer's services?]

This is all about Israel wanting a huge U.S. military presence in the ME, and nothing more for Liebershitz. I can't blame Israel for wanting a big bully presence at their back door, so draft-dodger Liebershitz should just be honest about his intentions for BSing us about Iraq.

[You should be more subtle about your hate by calling Lieberman a "neocon."]

Anyone else see the need to purge the democratic party of undemocratic people? Sheesh, what's the use. I just need to move to a country with a somewhat honest government and an impartial informative press.

[You'll love the party purge policy of the People's Republic of North Korea.]

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS MAN?????????? He is blatantly propagandizing for this administration--and I want to know why. He came back from Dante's Inferno--and put a flowery glow on it. He lied. I want to know why.

[I repeat: Rovian Mind Control.]

No one I know, left or right, cares in the slightest what he has to say.

[Sorry to inform you but even though the Left is shunning Lieberman, the Right is enjoying the spectacle of him sticking his finger in the Liberal eye.]

Joementum is a tool for the RNC and right wing radio and sites such as free republic - no more, no less.

[And the DUmmie FUnnies! Don't forget the DUmmie FUnnies.]

What was Gore thinking when he went with him as VP?

[What was Gore thinking when he stuck his tongue down Tipper's throat on a convention stage?]

Lieberman is the root of all evil, imho. If Gore hadn't chosen such an asshat as his V. P., then the election wouldn't have been close enough to steal. Good God, he's an idiot....

[Yeah. Lieberman FORCED Gore to act like a shmuck at the 2000 debates after painting Gore's face orange.]

Worst. VP Choice. Ever.

[How about Jack Kemp?]

Joe, shut the f*ck up already, we are all tired of your wanna-be repube... bullshit. that man is a failure and a disgrace to the Democratic party.

[A disgrace to the Democrat party? Sounds like an endorsement for Joe to me.]

Not a popular truth but AIPAC just shovels the money at their whores in both parties.

[Psst! The proper term is "neocons."]

He's just Zell Miller without the spittle and the bulging forehead veins.

[But Zell has better hair.]

Joe is an infiltrate and Uncle Tom for the Republicans. Notice how they trot him out in those most desperate of times to do his best performance of a Democrat. Im sure the 'establishment' shoved spoiler Lieberman on the 2000 ticket. Joe Lieberman is a murderer and a war profiteer. The blood is now on his hands as well.

[Fortunately, spoiler Kerry was shoved onto the 2004 ticket.]

Out of all the people that get sliced & diced here at the DU, Holy Joe gets it the worst. The threads are a mile long, and they are funny. I've never laughed as much as when I've read them.

[Me too. Drooling DUmmie hate-filled spittle is always good for laughs.]

Look how Zarcowi (sic)apologized for hurting jordanians at a wedding.

[Even "Zarcowi" is more beloved in DUmmieland than Lieberman.]

The mission for Joe is the protection of Israel. Will it ever be completed. Israel will not behave towards it's neighbors thus the only solution seems to be the destruction of it's neighbors which Israel's leaders have called for since it's 20th century inception. Look at the quotes made by all of the Israeli leaders since it was created by Britain....they have threatened the death of their neighbors for decades...how will the mission EVER be completed?

[Psst! Say "neocons." Much more polite.]

Dear Joe, please go to Iraq and personally oversee the mission...because you are f*cking useless as a Democratic Senator over here and the cost to our party of your constant right-wing enabling is simply catostrophic...

[Simply "catostrophic" for Liberal GroupThink.]

Not quite sure of that yet but "Leesa" is an unusual spelling of that name.

Hi, Meesa Leesa!

Yeah, I stopped using NAV after it couldn't find viruses that ZoneAlarm's virus scanner found - viruses that were on my system through several generations of NAV. Too many issues, too many PC crashes, too many uninstalls and reinstalls, and I got tired of it.

Thanks for the advice on the others though - good to know.

One thing in my favor is it looks like they are taking steps to eliminate spam voting by making sure every voter registers with Keypad.

Dang! I was just about to say "vote early, vote often".

I could use that registry fix. Thanx.---P.J.

This is for anyone having trouble keeping there homepage set in Windows XP

Back up your registry first before you change anything, or set a system restore point in case something goes wrong.

1. In Internet Explorer, click Tools, and then click Internet Options.
2. On the General tab, type the URL of the page that you want to set as your default Home page in the Address box, click Apply, and then click OK.
3. To change the search options, follow these steps.
There are occasions where the home page entry cannot be changed and is "dimmed" out. In this case skip this step.
Note These steps may affect only the current user. You may have to follow these steps for other user accounts if they are present.
a.  Open Internet Explorer 6.
b.  On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
c.  Click the Programs tab, click Reset Web Settings, and then click Yes in the Reset Web Settings dialog box.
d.  To verify that these settings were changed, start Registry Editor. To do this, click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
e.  Locate and then right-click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\Search Bar
f.  Click Delete to remove this subkey.
g.  Make sure that the values for the follow registry subkeys are as listed:

Subkey: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL
Entry name: (Default)
Type: REG_SZ
Value data: (value not set)
Entry name: Provider
Type: REG_SZ
Value data: no value
Subkey: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main
Entry name: Search Page
Type: REG_SZ
Value data: http://www.microsoft.com/isapi/redir.dll?prd=ie&ar=iesearch
Subkey: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\URLSearchHooks
Entry name: (Default)
Type: REG_SZ
Value data: (value not set)
Entry name: {CFBFAE00-17A6-11D0-99CB-00C04FD64497}
Type: REG_SZ
Value data: This value should be blank (no value).
Subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main
Entry name: Default_Search_URL
Type: REG_SZ
Value data: http://www.microsoft.com/isapi/redir.dll?prd=ie&ar=iesearch
Subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search
Entry name: CustomizeSearch
Type: REG_SZ
Value data: http://ie.search.msn.com/{SUB_RFC1766}/srchasst/srchcust.htm
Subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search
Entry name: SearchAssistant
Type: REG_SZ
Value data: http://ie.search.msn.com/{SUB_RFC1766}/srchasst/srchasst.htm
Subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\AboutURLs
Entry name: blank
Type: REG_SZ
Value data: res://mshtml.dll/blank.htm

Now you should be able to go back into your Internet options and set your home page to whatever you want.
If this does not work, look in the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main for any subkey that is listed and the value is set to the URL that is the page you are being sent to. It is most likely there somewhere. Change it to what you want it to be.

You must follow these instructions carefuly, as if you change something that shouldn't be changed you can really screw things up.
