Little things, I suppose: Not being able to enjoy the fruits of one's labors; lack of incentive; bad economy; government control of all aspects of life; suppression of freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of association, and freedom of religion; widespread corruption; brutal murderous treatment of dissidents; human rights violations; the KGB; gulags. . . .

It's funny. Our Russian roommate was reading the DUmmie comments over my shoulder. She got an attitude in a hurry. She's old enough to remember the "wonders" of communism.
She says that they should try spending a half day standing in line to buy a loaf of bread that costs a half weeks pay. Or they could try to complain and find themselves yanked out of line to go home and be hungry.
JANE FONDA on communism:

I would also recommend Gulag by Anne Applebaum. Despite being a Pulitzer prize winner it is still very informational.
