Is Corzine the Next McGreevey?

Enlighten-NewJersey has learned that something big is about to happen, and when it hits; it’ll make Jim McGreevey look like a Cub Scout compared to Jon Corzine.

This damaging revelation is well known by key political insiders in New Jersey, the Corzine camp knows it’s coming and is waiting for the other shoe to drop. The New York Times, the New York Post, the Bergen Record, and the Star Ledger are all running down leads in the story. This story could break wide open any day. It’s not a question of if, but when.

What could make Corzine into the next McGreevey? Our source says, “Stay tuned.”

Good Grief ... it must be pretty bad to make McGreevey look like a Cub Scout

Remember .. McGreevey hired his lover to be the Head of Homeland Security in NJ

The only thing recently that I've heard about Corzine was him buying off black churches to the tune of 2 million dollars

Some of the worst offenders are on our NJ Supreme Court.

At least two are reaching mandatory retirement age.

They'll be replaced with hacks if the dem wins.

Looks like Carla Katz is just the start of Corzine's problems. This is from PoliticsNJ on Oct. 6

Plus ca change, plus le meme chose

The threshold for what the people will accept in their political leaders has changed considerably since the late nineteenth century, when the 49-year-old President of the United States, Grover Cleveland, married the 21-year-old daughter of his friend and law partner.

When Oscar Folsom was killed in an accident, Cleveland managed the estate on behalf of Folsom's widow and eleven-year-old daughter, Frances. Cleveland was in the White House when he began his clandestine courtship of Frances Folsom, then a college student, and the two were married shortly after her 21st birthday.

During Cleveland's 1884 presidential campaign, a Buffalo newspaper ran a story detailing Cleveland's affair with Maria Halpin , a New Jersey widow, a decade earlier that produced a son, named Oscar Folsom Cleveland. (Republicans at the time sought to capitalize on the scandal with the slogan: Ma, Ma, Where's My Pa? Gone to the White House, Ha, Ha, Ha.) Cleveland supported his son, who was given up for adoption. Later he set Halpin up in a business, and eventually (around the time he began his political career as Mayor of Buffalo and as Governor of New York) paid her $500 to leave town.

Cleveland was the only President born in New Jersey. After his two terms as President, he retired to Princeton and once considered running for New Jersey's United States Senate seat.

A commenter adds, "Could it be that we have here in our own midst New Jersey's version of a bearded Bill Clinton?"

Don't forget that Cipel, McG's gay lover, was not even a US citizen and could not get security clearance.

Corzine didn't care a bit that this man was about to be made liaison between Homeland Security and New Jersey.

I heard about him supposedly buying votes with money to black churches. I heard it as a rumor. Is there evidence to back it up?

Also there is the rumor he got his girlfriend pregnant and took her out of state for an abortion. I am waiting for proof of this as well.

Lots of rumors, no facts yet, but I am waiting.

It can't be that simple...he fathered a child...could it?

That isn't shocking today.

Unless the mother was his pet mule.

In the debate it was asked about appointing NJ Supreme Court Judges since two are near retirement age.

Corzine answered he wanted a person who believed that the NJ Constitution was a living and breathing document, not a strict originalist. He also stated that whoever appointed must uphold a woman's right to choose.

Sadly, the truth is that some of the worst of the worst on our SC were appointed by Christie Whitman.

BTW, did you know that John McCain is on Whitman's board of directors for her PAC, It's My Party Too?

Considering Jon Corzine is in for a tough election fight for Governor of New Jersey, this can't possibly help:

Why am I not surprised about McCain? Everytime I have Republican that is not at the top of my list McCain is on board with that person.
