PLEASE, Educate Me!
Here's an email that received today, from Tom. Educate me??!! I just WISH that I could post what I REALLY want to say to Tom, but that would only take me down to his name-calling, preschool level. Anyway, here are his (well thought out) words of "wisdom" to me:
"3) Not even worthy of answering since you're wrong about the specific threat"
I am sorry, but I am going to need to call bull(BLEEP) on your answer to this question. Please feel free to explain even just the top 2 specific threats that you feel existed.
I would be more than happy to educate you on the facts, if only to give you a chance to re-evaluate how much you want allow yourself to ever be used again as a pom-pom girl for this administration.
This war is illegal, and it was sold to the citizens of this country through a well orchestrated campaign of lies and propaganda. I must say I find it outright offensive for you to suggest that in order to support the men and women in the military we need to blind ourselves to the crimes committed by the Administration to start this war. To do so would be a betrayal of EVERY SINGLE SOLDIER that gave their life defending our country.
It is becoming increasingly clear to the citizens of this country just how much we were all lied to in the run up to the war, but I guess you don't realize this yet - since you aren't actually here.
Looking forward to your response.
-Tom
After sharing this email with my Plt Leader, 1LT Lance Frizzell, I've compiled the following "education" for Tom, even though I know that none of it will ever penetrate his thick skull. I'm happy to educate Tom (and many more like him) on the facts of this subject and I really believe that he (and more like him) should sue their high schools or universities for allowing them to remain so ignorant.
First, as an appetizer, a few quotes that you may have tried to erase from your memory:
"The community of nations may see more and more of the very kind of threat Iraq poses now: a rogue state with weapons of mass destruction, ready to use them or provide them to terrorists. If we fail to respond today, Saddam and all those who would follow in his footsteps will be emboldened tomorrow." -- Bill Clinton in 1998
"We urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs." -- From a letter signed by Joe Lieberman, Dianne Feinstein, Barbara A. Milulski, Tom Daschle, & John Kerry among others on October 9, 1998
"Saddam's goal ... is to achieve the lifting of U.N. sanctions while retaining and enhancing Iraq's weapons of mass destruction programs. We cannot, we must not and we will not let him succeed." -- Madeline Albright, 1998
"(Saddam) will rebuild his arsenal of weapons of mass destruction and some day, some way, I am certain he will use that arsenal again, as he has 10 times since 1983" -- National Security Adviser Sandy Berger, Feb 18, 1998
"Iraq does pose a serious threat to the stability of the Persian Gulf and we should organize an international coalition to eliminate his access to weapons of mass destruction. Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to completely deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power." -- Al Gore, 2002
(All can be found HERE)
Now...for the main course, a few FACTS to delightfully digest:
Among others, Harry Reid, Hillary Clinton, Charles Schumer, Chris Dodd, John Kerry, John Edwards, Joe Biden and Jay Rockefeller voted for the October 11, 2002 congressional joint resolution authorizing the president, on his discretion, to go to war. Here, in part, is what the resolution said:
"Whereas members of al Qaida, an organization bearing responsibility for attacks on the United States, its citizens and interests, including the attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001, are known to be in Iraq:
"Whereas Iraq continues to aid and harbor other international terroist organizations, including organizations that threaten the lives and safety of United States citizens;
"Whereas the attacks on the United States of September 11, 2001, underscored the gravity of the threat posed by the acquisition of weapons of mass destruction by international terrorist organizations ...
Former CIA Director George Tenet's October 7, 2002 letter to Congress, which asserted:
Our understanding of the relationship between Iraq and Al Qaeda is evolving and is based on sources of varying reliability. Some of the information we have received comes from detainees, including some of high rank.
We have solid reporting of senior level contacts between Iraq and Al Qaeda going back a decade. Credible information indicates that Iraq and Al Qaeda have discussed safe haven and reciprocal nonaggression.
Since Operation Enduring Freedom, we have solid evidence of the presence in Iraq of Al Qaeda members, including some that have been in Baghdad.
We have credible reporting that Al Qaeda leaders sought contacts in Iraq who could help them acquire WMD capabilities. The reporting also stated that Iraq has provided training to Al Qaeda members in the areas of poisons and gases and making conventional bombs.
Iraq's increasing support to extremist Palestinians coupled with growing indications of relationship with Al Qaeda suggest that Baghdad's links to terrorists will increase, even absent U.S. military action.
And, I would like to know what you have to say about:
Ahmed Hikmat Shakir the Iraqi Intelligence operative who facilitated a 9/11 hijacker into Malaysia and was in attendance at the Kuala Lampur meeting with two of the hijackers, and other conspirators, at what is roundly acknowledged to be the initial 9/11 planning session in January 2000? Who was arrested after the 9/11 attacks in possession of contact information for several known terrorists? Who managed to make his way out of Jordanian custody over our objections after the 9/11 attacks because of special pleading by Saddam's regime?
Saddam's intelligence agency's efforts to recruit jihadists to bomb Radio Free Europe in Prague in the late 1990's?Mohammed Atta's unexplained visits to Prague in 2000, and his alleged visit there in April 2001 which notwithstanding the 9/11 Commission's dismissal of it (based on interviewing exactly zero relevant witnesses) the Czechs have not retracted?
The Clinton Justice Department's allegation in a 1998 indictment (two months before the embassy bombings) against bin Laden, to wit: In addition, al Qaeda reached an understanding with the government of Iraq that al Qaeda would not work against that government and that on particular projects, specifically including weapons development, al Qaeda would work cooperatively with the Government of Iraq.
Seized Iraq Intelligence Service records indicating that Saddam's henchmen regarded bin Laden as an asset as early as 1992?Saddam's hosting of al Qaeda No. 2, Ayman Zawahiri beginning in the early 1990's, and reports of a large payment of money to Zawahiri in 1998?
Saddam's ten years of harboring of 1993 World Trade Center bomber Abdul Rahman Yasin? Iraqi Intelligence Service operatives being dispatched to meet with bin Laden in Afghanistan in 1998 (the year of bin Laden's fatwa demanding the killing of all Americans, as well as the embassy bombings)?
Saddam's official press lionizing bin Laden as "an Arab and Islamic hero" following the 1998 embassy bombing attacks?
The continued insistence of high-ranking Clinton administration officials to the 9/11 Commission that the 1998 retaliatory strikes (after the embassy bombings) against a Sudanese pharmaceutical factory were justified because the factory was a chemical weapons hub tied to Iraq and bin Laden?
Top Clinton administration counterterrorism official Richard Clarke's assertions, based on intelligence reports in 1999, that Saddam had offered bin Laden asylum after the embassy bombings, and Clarke's memo to then-National Security Adviser Sandy Berger, advising him not to fly U-2 missions against bin Laden in Afghanistan because he might be tipped off by Pakistani Intelligence, and "[a]rmed with that knowledge, old wily Usama will likely boogie to Baghdad"? (See 9/11 Commission Final Report, p. 134 & n.135.)
Terror master Abu Musab Zarqawi's choice to boogie to Baghdad of all places when he needed surgery after fighting American forces in Afghanistan in 2001?
Saddam's Intelligence Service running a training camp at Salman Pak, were terrorists were instructed in tactics for assassination, kidnapping and hijacking?
(You can find more, HERE)
Just TWO more quotes that I couldn't leave out:
Saddam has "stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country," declared former Vice President Al Gore on September 23, 2002. And even a month after the invasion [Clinton] Defense Secretary William Cohen believed we would find weapons: "I am convinced that he has them. I saw evidence back in 1998 when we would see the inspectors being barred from gaining entry into a warehouse for three hours with trucks rolling up and then moving those trucks out. I am absolutely convinced that there are weapons. We will find them."
...Time to hit the rack and get some sleep before our next mission tomorrow. Goodnight, sleep tight, and don't let the bed-bugs bite!

Good job cgk.
The shame is if they have not gotten it by now they never will.
These people are the poster children for Stuck on Stupid.
That is so not good to be SoS because not only does it endanger my family but it endangers their families and they will not admit that fact.
They are suicidal, in their politics and beliefs. I do not want them to take my family down with them. I fight them like you just did.
Thanks

Well said, but you're preaching to the liar. If facts mattered to these assrabbits they wouldn't be liberals to begin with.

Tom have slogan. Tom repeat slogan. Tom brain-dead and hear nothing but slogan. Tom is a parasite and an intellectual moocher who wouldn't know a new idea if it smacked him in the forehead.
Tom should stop drinking his bong water but he won't. People like Tom will probably keep the GOP in power regardless of how many Harriet Miers confirmation hearings it wants to inflict on itself. Tom Sux!
Cheers,
