Like me, the author does not trust Bush because of his abysmal record as cited in the article; and because of his primary loyalty to Jesus Christ, not to Bush and the Republican Party. It is not a knee-jerk reaction. By his own actions while in office, Bush has EARNED my distrust as a Christian.

Well aren't you special.

I guess we should all trust you instead.

Kid Rock is a "rapper"?

This and the chicken little bit about the Patriot Act takes away from an otherwise right on article.

I don't even understand where the Christianity stuff comes into play here. The guy can't say no to any plan for spending my money. You don't need to invoke the word of God to make a credible case that Bush is a proponent of big government. Common sense will suffice.

Egotistical horsesh*t.

But that is only my humble opinion.

...primary loyalty to Jesus Christ...

OK. I'll bite. This has to be a troll. There is no evidence beyond pandering hearsay that the President's "primary loyalty" is to Jesus Christ. None.

GWB, twice-elected POTUS; "Dave Daubenmire" is a complete unknown.

While I dislike the Meirs Supreme Court pick and the growth of the government at 2 times the inflation rate, but I have not lost my trust in President Bush. You will never agree with anyone 100% of the time, also, the alternative was that liar John Kerry.

I'm still glad George Bush is president.

The WMD/Regime Change argument is pure revisionism. The war in Iraq is just and was 10 years over due. While we were enforcing the UN Sanctions on Irag (personally in my case), The French and UN stuff shirts were ripping us and the Iraqis off. Regime change was the true goal of the invasion.

p.s. I don't trus anyone who calls themselves a Christian and goes to church on Sunday.

Luk 6:46 And why do you call Me Lord, Lord, and do not do what I say?

Mat 5:17 Do not think that I have come to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I have not come to destroy but to fulfill. For truly I say to you, Till the heaven and the earth pass away, not one jot or one tittle shall in any way pass from the Law until all is fulfilled.

I doubt of Dave Daubenmire would have approved of Mary's anointing of Jesus' feet with costly ointment. (It just doesn't look right to be seen doing such things. And by such a lowly person! GASP!) He probably would have objected to Samuel's anointing David as king when he had allllll those brothers he could have chosen. (Comes from a position of weakness, dontcha know.)

Let's get these hearings over with! I don't think I can endure another month of whining conservatives.

Bush is a weak president trying to survive. Being his own worst enemy he thought for sure the conservatives would take one more for the team. Well, we wont.

Your self-righteousness & hostility towards others here should be obvious to those who care to check your posting history. On another thread, you were challenged or questioned by someone who had the nerve to defend President Bush, you labelled the "Bushbots" as "brownshirts". Thanks for posting the article, but it's not worth it to engage someone like you in any meaningful dialogue.

You Should have placed lots of koolaid at the bottom of this post, because all the yappers are going to be along, and they will get thirsty. Truth about our President, if not complimentary, will be labeled senseless nattering by trolls.

You left out the whole issue of the uncontrolled invasion of our country.

And of course the worst president in my memory, maybe in all of history was that born again evangelical, Jimmy Carter. You remember the one that in his first week as president, pardoned all the draft dodgers, and asked congress to decriminalize marijuana.(Libertarians should be cheering this guy)

He has publicly stated that he is against an abortion ban, that he won't have an abortion litmus test for judges and that he supports the states granting homosexuals civil unions.

I have argument with the article. This sentence alone should show the distortion the writer creates.

1: If the President supports a repeal of Roe vs. Wade it would not "ban" abortion, but only send it back to the States. The States have the right to decide based on the Constitution.

2: If President Bush had a litmus test for SCOTUS, he would be no better than any President with a political agenda. The President should appoint judges who will apply the constitution....not invent it.

3: Again, the Constitution places so-called civil unions (and other contractual laws) in the hands of the States. The President is only upholding the Constitution in this regard.
