I watched the first episode last night and most of it was amusingly dumbed-down and obviously intended to give the Hildabeast some kind of a boost in popularity. The lady who played the grieving First Lady's chief of staff was meeting with the new "First Husband" and discussing subjects like the White House menu, and in their talk I noticed that the name "Mrs. Clinton" was used three times while "Mrs Bush" was not mentioned.
Earlier the new President said something like "I wasn't an insider...I wasn't Gore...I wasn't Cheney." So they found it OK to mention Cheney but not OK to put Laura Bush's name in the script. Very odd...perhaps Laura makes Hillary look so bad in comparison that they refuse to mention Laura...lol.

I'm curious as the context of using "Mrs. Clinton" in the show.

I couldn't bear to watch the show, but I'm happy to read what other folks who did, think of it. I was listening to local Atlanta radio talker, The Kimmer, and he couldn't get over what a humongous head Davis has. "biggest head on the planet" he said. (Maybe I will click in next week, just to see that global orb for myself.)
As for: "the "Commander-in Chief" head writer (being) a veteran of clinton campaigns and hillary's press office, because the show has been perfectly positioned to desensitize the electorate to the notion of a woman president just in time for hillary", it could be no other way, could it?
I mean Hollywood writers only come in one size: Hillary Heavy!! The joke is remembering a pre-season interview with Geena Davis who promised her show wasn't going to be political.
