Been arrested for your beliefs?Several times.
I believed that I wouldn't get caught running a stop sign at 40 mph at 3:00 am without bail money on me.
I believed that being a passenger in the back seat during a high speed chase to avoid prosecution wouldn't land me in jail, but it did.
I believed that I could get away with stealing a case of beer off of a beer truck, but the police didn't.
Do those count Will, or do you need more?

I'm calling BS on that post, WilliamPitt. I normally enjoy your posts, but that one was ridiculous. You basically just took everyone to task for having an opinion. Woo Hoo, Will, you know Cindy Sheehan. That doesn't make you more special than anyone else, nor does it give you the right to tell everyone here that if they don't KNOW her, haven't been arrested for their beliefs or haven't worked for an activist organization beyond the volunteer level that they aren't "in the business"? Get off your ridiculously high horse & pull your head out of your arse. I support your posting & pointing out all that Cindy HAS done & trying to explain the sacrifices that she has made- but putting down everyone elses contributions to the process is pretty lame.

Ooops. They're starting to wise up.
No Will, having ANSWER on your team isn't going to attract new voters. And when you wake up and realize that Sheehan has done more damage to your team than mine, you'll be on your way to forming a coalition that can actually affect change.
Meantime, gather your moonbats and have them scream from the rooftops...

I find your information about A.N.S.W.E.R. interesting. What is your source, personal experience? I would expect that such a "carpet bombing" approach to every premium date and place would be expensive to set up, although once you have it set up it could be replicated year after year. Is there a reason the local authorities in D.C. let them get away with it, other than bureaucratic inertia combined with indifference?
To: PJ-Comix
I'm wondering how many of you have met Cindy, talked with her, worked with her...can actually call her a friend? Could she even pick you out of a lineup? Were you in Texas with her, in the heat and the rain with the shotguns going off?
My friend Cindy Sheehan... Poor, poor pitiful Pitt...still trying to be relevant by clinging to someone else's coat-tails (or skirt as the case may be)...it must suck to wake up every morning and know that once again you're the bridesmaid and not the bride...hell Pitt doesn't even get to be matron of honor.
Just a little tip for Pitt, though, who's idea of roughing it seems to be getting stuck at the airport for a few extra hours...CINDY WAS IN THE COUNTRY. It's not unusual to hear guns going off...people target practice, train hunting dogs, shoot varmits, etc.

Follow-up questions - Do you think the situation will change after Saturday's fiasco? If A.N.S.W.E.R. turns makes C-Span coverage of every leftist demonstration into an "all-Palestinian, all the time" monstrosity like it apparently did on Saturday, won't major Democratic politicians like Hilary find it a good idea to break the A.N.S.W.E.R. monopoly? And these politicians should have the pull necessary to make the D.C. government do something.
Sorry for all the questions, but I am fascinated that such a monopolistic situation could arise.

New nickname for Pitt, modeled after Argentinian boxer Luis Firpo, the "Wild Bull of the Pampas":
Will Pitt, the Wild Bull of the Pompous.

Heavyweight Contender Luis Firpo knocks the Great Jack Dempsey out of the ring in Round One of their Classic Heavyweight Battle at the New York Polo Grounds Sept. 14, 1923. Dempsey knocked Firpo out in Round 2.

A brand-new FReeper did a head count, but I told her she forgot to count the puppets....
To: Albertafriend
Thanks for the computation, but I'll point out where you went wrong.
Your main problem is that you counted all of those pixels as protesters. You forgot to factor in the life-sized puppets they all brought along to represent what they were REALLY protesting.
Now, how many gay - lesbian - transexual - crossdressing - webfooted -- teencurfew - ChineseoccupationofTibet - Tonga - faithbasedinitiative - Israel -thosethatsayliberalinsteadofprogressive - stuffthatisn'tpink - protestpermitrequirements - freemumia - ihavenowheretoputabumpersticker - antianarchist - overeducatedunemployable protest puppets did you overlook and count by mistake?
I'll wait while you recalculate.

Pitt: Could she even pick you out of a lineup? This is a consistently reoccurring concern for many DUmmies.
...the one person I spoke to who actually went to the demonstration on Saturday...
I suspect it was a struggle to find one who would admit it. From what I heard, many to so ashamed they wore masks.

Agreed, sir. Not such a distant journey here.
Thanks PJ, always a good laugh on your posts!

I'm wondering how many lines you can go without coming to a period.
Sorry, Charlie! I already submitted yesterday's run-on sentence to the Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest. Does the AMOUNT of mindless bloviation count?
It was a dark and stormy night....
In Texas, the Democratic party suffered from the fact that Republicans managed to demonize labor to the degree that other Democratic voters who were attracted to the party for reasons other than labor-related issues stopped supporting pro-labor causes, they demonized trial attorneys and the civil justice system so that Democrats who were drawn to the party with other concerns as their primary issues stopped supporting pro-consumer causes, they demonized the communities that sought immigration fairness, they demonized feminists, they demonized environmentalists, they demonized gays, they demonized advocates of urban initiatives, they demonized us all.
I'm wondering how many lines you can go without coming to a POINT.
