I hate to see progressive groups turn on one another. Well, that makes one of us... personally, I'm enjoying the implosion. Think about it... DUmmies against ANSWER... DailyKos against "Mother Sheehan"... and yet every other day I'm seeing a story about how the right is on the verge of fragmenting?

I wonder how many of these supposedly non-anti-Semites have spent the last several years buying into "Wolfowitz/Perle/Feith" conspiracy theories. See, you're missing the nuance... "neo-Con" may be code word for "Jewish", but it's also used to distinguish between "good Jews" (liberals) and "bad Jews" (conservatives).

is to find out where the hell they're getting their money from. When the Iron Curtain fell in 1992 it was discovered that nearly 2/3 of the funding to various anti-nuke, anti-war, anti-American, etc. was provided by the KGB and related communist organizations.
That's a lesson I suspect the terroists have learned. These people are quite simply allies of terrorism.
To: PJ-Comix
Make no mistake, ANSWER is not our friend. And we must never again allow our real movement to be associated with them. In fact, we should do our best to make sure that no one ever shows up to one of their events again." That is why that no matter how liberal I was, I just couldn't identify with the fringe left. In fact, I feel sorry for any "honest" liberal, yes, there are a few. Liberalism tends to attract these types of folks, like mussels to a boat hull.
I admit that there are a few conservative movements and views which, quite frankly, embarass me, but I dont see said conservatives marching in Washington making asses out of themselves, thankfully so. In conservative politics, for the most part, we keep the real extremists pretty much marginalized.

How exactly do you demonize demons?

Yep, once again, what is bad for Americans is good for the left.

Hopefully, enough of my fellow Jews will figure this out before it's too late.I had such high hopes Saturday, as I stood on the corner across from some Orthodox (? They had yarmulkehs, but I didn't see tefillim) Jews for Peace as the large Palestinian banner and its carriers got closer. Unfortunately the two groups didn't meet up (very disappointing!), but I did get a chance to ask a woman wearing a Star of David necklace how she felt about the "Israel Out of Palestine" signs. No response, of course.

They were carrying that flag. I don't know if I got a good picture of it, but I saw it.

In Texas, the Democratic party suffered from the fact that Republicans managed to demonize labor to the degree that other Democratic voters who were attracted to the party for reasons other than labor-related issues stopped supporting pro-labor causes, they demonized trial attorneys and the civil justice system so that Democrats who were drawn to the party with other concerns as their primary issues stopped supporting pro-consumer causes, they demonized the communities that sought immigration fairness, they demonized feminists, they demonized environmentalists, they demonized gays, they demonized advocates of urban initiatives, they demonized us all. The communities that sought immigration fairness? Is that the new circumlocution for "illegal alien"?

What we really did down here in Texas is not DEMONIZE all of them--we REPUBLICANIZED them!

People who, if their political beliefs were known, most Americans would not want to be in the same room with." The same room? I don't even want to be in the same solar system with that anti-Semitic commie pond scum.
And I'm not talking just about A.N.S.W.E.R., a quick scan of DU posts on any given day will turn up so much anti-Semitism and anti-Israel crap you would almost think it's a Palestinian website.

For a while yesterday, the march just stood still and didn't go anywhere. Kind of like their whole protest didn't go anywhere!

Has anyone heard when the next "day when everything changes" is scheduled? I just want to make sure I don't miss it, there are so many of these days when everything changes it's becoming hard to keep the dates straight.
I have just one little question for the DUmmies if any of them has a minute to clear this up for me. Just what was it that changed last Saturday? I'm sure it wasn't the DUmmies' s***-stained underwear and smelly socks, but something must have changed,,,,,,didn't it?

I just saw that aerial photo shot. AMAZING! The Ellipse is only about half full and I didn't see anybody on the Mall. And Pied Piper Pitt is claiming 500,000?

Yeah, and the moron from United for Peace and Justice who was on Hannity last night claimed that there were 200,000. The number keeps being revised up.
