Two things:
1) Congratulations to the school for standing on solid, moral, principle.
2) A BS article in that the liberal writer doesn't understand that the child can not have two parents of the same sex. The writer must understand that the child would not have been born with "parents" such as this.
We must remember to lover the sinner (all of us) but not endorse and/or condone the sin...
um, ok.
never said i was pro-gay.
just that i find it amusing that so many folks around here are so very anti-gay.
but i suspect that these are the types of folks who will step over and ignore a man starving in the street in order to attend a protest of a gay wedding.
All about showing "Christ's love", you know....
I guess all people have hobbies, some folks garden, some folks fish, some folks stay awake at night worrying about what the queers/jews/blacks are doing.
but it's a free country.
I know. People like this conveniently forget that Jesus also said "Judge not".
This girl is not being punished by the school. She is bearing the brunt of her mommies selfish, arrogant stupidity, perhaps. That does not mean that the school should back down.
"Or is it that the kids will see that there are lesbian couples and be more inclined to see that as normal?...thats the point, its not normal or moral. Its like a living copy of "Jane has two mommies". It has no place in a Christian school.
My post #250:I have read many passages in Scripture where Christ tells homosexuals that homosexuals will not inherit the Kingdom of God. Where do you find Christ to retract that position and conclude one might have the mind of Christ while being a homosexual?
your post #255Wacko finatic. How dare you imply that I am speaking for God! I didn't say all people that believe in God were perfect or godlike.
Perhaps I have misundertood your post #241. Do you believe Lesbians are following Christ?
Most people that believe in God are not perfect. All sin, some worse that others.
Go bother someone else, I am not interested in having this conversation with you.
Perhaps...that there are higher rules that are somehow more important than an admissions policy? But then, I thought that that was the POINT of religious instruction in the first place.
There is discernment between one who sins, even the sin of homosexuality, and one who is a self-described homosexual, fashioning their life in conformity to homosexuality.
I agree with the position that there may be many Christians who have sinned, even the sin of a lesbian act, but not that there are lesbian Christians. Homosexuality is discernibly distinct from having the mind of Christ.
just that i find it amusing that so many folks around here are so very anti-gay.

and I suspect that some people have no morals, nor convictions... and some who are rabble rousers, and cynics...
You know the little thing that requires Christians to actually BE a little better. You know, "practice what they preach", is what they call it.
Christ's love showed up on the Cross. His love provided Him a life of perfection, a condemnation, and a death. His love brought him back from the grave, and lit a path to the Throne of God. If you want to follow, you must take up your cross... I didn't say it, He did!
I think it's you who has the problem if you equate being "gay" with being a Jew or black.
So why is this girl more important than all the other students?
The school, for one. I've seen nothing that suggests that they apply the same restrictions to couples that divorce and remarry that they apply to homosexuals.
Are not those who divorce and remarry not setting up a rival good to God's? Adultery is forbidden by, among other things, the 10 Commandments and the teachings of Jesus Christ. Those who divorce and remarry are ignoring that restriction, and apparently have no shame or any feelings of repentence, are rebelling against God's word. They are saying that their decision is acceptable, that under their particular circumstance adultery is permitted. Why are they free to flaunt God's word just because society deems their actions acceptable? Should they and other sinners not be held to the same standards of morality that the school insists on holding homosexuals to?
I'm just too tired to deal with them...
BTTT
Yes, and the Episcopal church is a great example of this. It now has an active adulterer, openly homosexual, bishop. About as opposite God's word as you can get. But, the nonbeliever members took over...
What did that girl say that caused her to be reprimanded and got her parents involved?
Obviously, we're not getting all the information. However, it's a private school and they are free to set and enforce their own policies.
Now, now. We can't go injecting logic into the discussion...
