After President Bush's speech an ABC new correspondant interviewed a few of those that are displaced by the hurricane.
It was a priceless moment. A middle age Black woman was asked if she was angry at President Bush because of the slow response of the federal goverment. She hit the nail on the head with her reply. She stated that she was not angry at Bush, but that she was angry at Nagin and Blaco for their lack of response. She also wanted to know why they didn't use the school buses to evacuate the city.
The correspondant then tried again with an older black women to see if he could get the "proper" response. No such luck, she stated that she beleives the President and had faith in his program.
GOODNIGHT AND GOODBYE TO NBC, A NETWORK THAT HAS FALLEN INTO THE ABYSS OF INCREDULITY. (GOOD RIDDANCE)
The leftists are going to hate it when the displaced Louisanna folks return to the voting booths and vote republican.
Doesn't matter where they are, but I think a lot of black folk are going to remember how the dems failed, yet again, and how the besmirched republicans and christians came to their aide.
Maybe that is why Nagin has bought a home in Dallas. Big enough city to hide in.

READ this & smile........PING
The RATS will be using the opportunity to "Foam at the Mouth" (and with the help of it's ally, the MSM, and say that we know need to choose between rebuilding Iraq OR rebuilding New Orleans. Can't afford both.
This may prove to be a brilliant exit strategy.
No s**t..really?
One of the more liberal black leaders (can't remember his name) was stating that Bush blew up the levees. Hmmm I wonder if they believe him.
A few days ago Jesse Jackson stated that it wouldn't be good to move these people too far away from where they are acultured. My response was that he is afearing that he is going to lose "control" of them. Well I guess it is too late, they aren't buying what the "black leaders" are selling any more.
It was a beautiful sight.
I was cheering and yelling so loud that my teenage wondered what was going on.
Since when has the Dems ever turned down an opportunity to spend money.
If they pull that we will turn the tables on them and ask them which minority group they want to pull the plug on?
Jesse Jackson and Maxine Watrs know that they have been outfoxed and that the evacuation has changed the electoral map, and they are fit to be tied. They keep advocating bringing all the po' home and stuffing them in makeshift trailer parks, military bass or anything, It is funny to see them huffing and puffing. After all, they demanded that the President act, and he did.
You know my head is spinning. I really thought this hurricane migh have wrecked the GOP's wonderful effort to bleed the black vote from the Democrats.
With Bush's speech tonight, he just may have ripped open the Dems aorta.
Brilliant.
Anyway, nice to see the MSM befuddled by uncommon responses. It must amaze them to discover that black people can think as individuals and without the help of Jesse Jackass.
BTTT
that is weird, sl.
and I agree, "nice to see the MSM befuddled by uncommon responses. It must amaze them to discover that black people can think as individuals and without the help of Jesse Jackass" very much!
BUMP.....that dumb Dubya out foxed them......yet again!
And he's gonna demonstrate the conservative approach to helping these poor people recover......with a hand up ....not a hand out!
Quick....somebody tell Kanye West & Jesse Jackson that there are Black people who DO NOT think that GWB is a racist!

Hell Yes!
I will comment on the actual speech later, but did anyone else see the interviews with the people watching the Presidents speech from the Astrodome on ABC? They were live and took place immediately following the speech. I was bracing myself for a bunch of Bush-bashing and skepticism that the President meant anything he said. Instead I found myself cheering hell yes.
If anyone has a link to video or the transcript, please forward it to me or post in the comments section.
All of those interviewed at the Astrodome were black. They were all evacuees from New Orleans. When the first person was asked if she believed the President she said yes. She said that what the President said lifted her up and gave her hope. When the reporter questioned her about the slow response of the federal government, she said they did a good job once they got there and that she blamed the local and state officials, who had not done their jobs. She said they were the ones there when the storm hit and they did not do what they needed to do. Then she got on a rant about the buses that were not used. She later said she blamed Mayor Nagin personally.
The others interviewed also spoke very favorably about the President. I dont remember the specifics, but I was flabbergasted that the responses were so positive. My best guess as to the reason is that these people responded as they did is that they have not been able to watch the cable news coverage.
Also on ABC, Aaron Broussard said that the President said what the people in the region needed to hear hope. He said they did not need a blame game, they needed hope. Boy, if only the media understood that.
State Sen. Cleo Fields was interviewed and did not bash the President. He actually spoke pretty kindly of him. He faulted the government on all levels. I think that all the money the Louisiana politicians see coming their way is making them think much more favorably of the President.
I am now going to switch channels to find out if ABCs response is similar to the others.
UPDATE: Ian Schwartz did not get video of the ABC interviews, but he found this Free Republic post about them for me. He also hasvideo of the Presidents speech.

Hey! It was only a 13" screen! :~~
I caught a few minutes of Rita Cosby on MSNBC (as much as I can stand), and it sounded like she was trying to encourage the people she was interviewing to bash President Bush.
Calypso Louis claimed they blew out something like a 20 foot crater under a levee
