Two German TV stations are apparently claiming that Bush's visit to N.O was basically a staged event: bulldozers and the like were brought in just for his visit, bodies were moved, etc.
Can someone provide translations and state the actual charges and what evidence is given?

the last is supposedly translated here:

This is discussed here:

You also might want to spend some time reading the other entries at the HuffPost. That site has two sides: blog ( http://www.huffingtonpost.com/theblog/ ) and news (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/thenewswire/).
On the news side, comments are posted immediately and don't seem to be deleted.
However, on the blog side, comments are moderated and - oddly enough - almost no one disagrees with most of the pundits.
The rumor in Europe is that help for NO was late in coming because Bush dislikes blacks. The slimy, slithering left at work again.
This is only ballpark, but...the first link (with pic) is captioned, roughly, "Despair and anarchy in the South (US) as the situation is out of control. Help is not coming, and the New Orleans mayor is mad as Bush visits Biloxi."
In the second link, correspondent Claudia Rueggeberg of Channel Two, German Television reports people there saying things were cleaned up along the route Bush took, but only there, and the cleanup stopped when he left.
That's all the German I care to remember for one century...
but you get the gist.
"people there saying things were cleaned up along the route"
Sorry..."there" is Biloxi, MS.
Just one more reason to pull out all the troops there. :-)
"But understand, he's still got 3 more years, and there is not one thing they can do about it >:>"
Shumer will be calling for impeachment hearings in 2 weeks or less.
I hear that Bush will be in Baton Rouge tomorrow. I hope he doesn't have to pose with Idi Nagin again.
also bush and the carrier-landing, arguably one of the best presidential photo ops in my adult life. The thanksgiving turkey in iraq also had a double-function as well.
My point in posting this isn't to discuss what the Germans think, it's to help discredit those U.S. sources who are relying on these reports.
In order to discredit them, it's necessary to point out exactly what's being said and what evidence they're providing.
Not according to DU. I just read over there that his impeachment is at long last imminent.
And when was that? Someone has an .mpg of Clinton laughing, but when he noticed a camera crew, Clinton gimaced and began wiping his eyes in sorrow.
Don't they say that all the time?
The Rats would not be stupid enough to have hearings, it would allow the administration to defend themselves, and then all the dirt on the Democrat Louisiana government to come out.
"What are krauts?"
"Krauts" is a slang term for Germans because they eat - wait for it - sauerkraut.
Derogatory term for us Germans.
that was a reply to me, but it was at ron brown's funeral, when clinton was departing.
ON what? Even the Wash Post yesterday had to admit in their article that Bush is asking the Gov of Lousiana to turn over control of this mess to the Feds. How can it be "Bush's Fault" when the Feds are STILL having to ask the State of Lousiana to hand over control? Why is Bush responsible for the mess Gov Blanco is in charge of?
