Posted on 09/02/2005 6:33:57 PM PDT by Sam Hill
It may or it may not surprise you to learn that Cindy Sheehan has no links to fundraisers for the victims of hurricane Katrina on her website .
She does, of course, find plenty of room for several appeals for money for her own cause, the Gold Star Families For Peace. Sheehan even (apparently falsely) claims GSFP to be a tax-exempt 501c3 charity.

But Mother Sheehan's heart has not always been so hard.
Last December, when our brave soldiers on the ground in Iraq finally got tired of being picked off by the denizens of Fullajah, Cindy, the GSFP and her pals at Code Pink were Johnnies on the spot to raise money for the poor terrorists.
Behold an example of one of their countless appeals. This one is from the newsletter of the loathsome Iraqi "Resistance"-supporting CASI-Analysis:
More than $600,000 in aid was eventually raised for the denizens of Fallujah. It was personally delivered by Cindy's co-founder of Gold Star Families For Peace, Nadia McCaffrey.Take Action:
Help Send Humanitarian Supplies to Iraq
When the US bombed a hospital in Falluja and seized another, leveled virtually the entire city, killed hundreds of desperate civilians, refused to let humanitarian aid workers into the city, and left an estimated 50,000 civilians without water, electricity and food, we knew we had to do something - fast -because Falluja is just one terrifying example of the escalating devastation in Iraq.
We can't let this face of devastation be the only face that the Iraqi people, and the world community, see from the American people. We must show that there are kind, compassionate Americans who are appalled by this violence and want to help - not kill - the Iraqi people.
So we have put together a delegation of parents who lost loved ones in Iraq and on 9/11, as well as health care workers, to take a shipment of humanitarian aid to the people of Iraq. This delegation will take desperately needed medical supplies to the Iraqi/Jordanian border, where we will meet with Iraqi humanitarian aid organizations that will take the supplies to Falluja and other places in need.
We plan to leave for Jordan on December 27 and usher in the New Year with this gesture of solidarity BUT we need your help in raising $20,000 in the next two weeks to make this happen.
** These supplies will only get to those in need if each of us does our part **

Lest we forget.
WHY is she still ALIVE?
As Tolstoy wrote: "God sees, but waits."
Bothers me a little that they wanted to raise 20K and raised 600k.................
Oops. Forgot to mention that it was interesting that this was a coalition of those who lost loved ones in Iraq and 9/11. Hmmmmmmmmmm. Isn't she the one who's been ranting there was no connection?????
Many ignorant masses on the left...I'm not surprised they offered donations. What surprises me is that they actually came through with the money...or some poor stupid unsuspecting citizens did, without knowing these yahoos are linked to Communists and Socialists.
Does the phrase "Fifth Column" spring to mind, anyone?
