Bush's month long vacation

Notice how almost every news station, whether local or national threw in a little jab at Bush my mentioning that he cut short his vacation by two days because of the hurricane. This is nothing new, the media loves to stick it to Bush because he is nothing like their darling, Bill Clinton.

What the media is trying to do is portray Bush as uncaring and lazy, a President who would rather hang out on vacation than help the American public. I find it funny that when LBJ invited the German Chancellor to his ranch for some bbq, the media gushed that Johnson was going back to the old days of the presidency when guests were often entertained outside the White House. Bush entertained foreign dignitaries on this trip to Crawford, and the media calls it a vacation.

Much has been made in the media about the month long Bush vacation, but is a modern President really ever on vacation?

Many on the left thing bush can do nothing right.

Some on the right thing bush can do nothing wrong.

Neither are correct.

Have you actually looked at the comments here? Show me anyone on FR that thinks Bush can do nothing wrong. I know you qualified it with "some", but you will have a hard time finding them here.

Ive got my problems with Bush but his vacation time isn't one of them. The presidents vacation isn't exactly a period of relaxation for weeks on end, it's a working vacation.

I would also point out that congress has been on vacation for longer.

The Left complains when the President and working. The Left complains when our president is in Texas (not) working. These people won't sut up no matter what no matter what. Why do they think their opinion is important anyway?
