I believe National Guard and State Police are using this scanner.
Not much happening right now, but it sounded like the crowd was getting out of hand at the SuperDome.
They are transporting people out of the Dome to Houston, not telling them their destination until the bus is underway.
Apparently they're trying to round up SWAT to go to a children's hospital.
A few minurtes ago saw on CN.... that the first (school) bus from NO to AD in Houston had been comandeered somewhere in NO, and people were not even from the SD in NO.
I don't think this is a live feed. In fact, I'm now hearing the same dialogue I heard when I first clicked on the link....being replayed. Would you know anything about that?

I saw one of the alleged Super Dome evacuees. He couldn't describe much of his experience in the SD except he said he had been given rusty water. That concerned me as much as it seemed to delight CNN to discover a failure. Then they figured out he wasn't on a legit bus...it was driven by a 20 year old I think the reporter said.

The complete dialogue! As in a rewound tape, or in this instance, a playlist item. Tell you something else that now bothers me, when I first clicked on the link, my modem send/receive lights continued flashing for several minutes during the initial "feed". I'm still getting dialogue but no flashing modem lights. Would you know anything about THAT?

10-97 means the unit or person has arrived at scene.
ie: "dispatch show me 97."
Yep, that's what they were talking about.
I keep losing it too, but I'm on dial-up, so no surprise, was surprised I got to hear it at all.

I've had to "refresh" twice, on DSL.
They're trying to locate some Trailways buses...not sure where they're parked.
