I believe National Guard and State Police are using this scanner.
Not much happening right now, but it sounded like the crowd was getting out of hand at the SuperDome.
They are transporting people out of the Dome to Houston, not telling them their destination until the bus is underway.

The soldier is in there, trying to keep order, trying to make sure these people--who CHOSE not to leave before the storm--have food and a safe place to sleep...

I thought all these guys were checked for weapons before entering dome.
They ought to issue "shoot on site" orders for those stealing anything other than food, water, and a couple of articles of clothing. But then again, some of the police would have to shoot other cops...and probably there's nothing else left to loot.

Well, all the looters could start looting each other's houses. That's where all the already-looted loot is.
Something about an armored personnel carrier. The guy was over modulating, I couldn't make out what all he was saying.
I thought I heard someone in the background saying "he's in good shape" on one of those last calls. Not sure if they were referring to the shot soldier, though.
