Liberalism is the reason for our failed family courts
My own rant | 08-01-05 | mosquitobite

Posted on 08/01/2005 4:11:38 PM PDT by mosquitobite

My brother's EXgirlfriend just had a baby 10 days ago.

The baby tested positive for meth :(

He has a 6YO son with her (my nephew obviously). They took him too.

My nephew is well fed, clothed, reads at a 5th grade level already, plays little league... the kid is NOT abused or neglected. His mother just happens to abuse meth. While I disagree vehemently with her problem, the state doesn't take kids away from alcoholic monthers... what gives??

Argh.

The hearing was today. The mother signed a motion with my brother saying that if the son had to stay out of her home, that he should go to his father. But the almighty judge decided that since my brother lives 80 miles away and in a different state, that it would be better for my nephew to stay in foster care so he can go to school where he lives!

So stranger foster parents are better than his father because of the miles away he lives? What kind of demented world do we live in??

The bio-mom's grandparents (who live 80 miles in a DIFFERENT direction) agreed to take him and drive him to school every day so long as he can get out of foster care. They still wouldn't release him! Oh no... FIRST the state has to charge them $500 for a home study.

Sorry if this is out of line, but this BS that the state knows better how to raise our kids just chaps my @$$!!!

And yes! I blame liberals for the HORRIBLE system we call our family courts. It all boils down to them thinking they know better what to do for our kids than we do! The feminism within family courts is rampant. I am FURIOUS tonight!

From everything I've read, and heard, family courts and state agencies dealing with families have been infected with "progressive" and feminist values, and have little compunction about separating children from parents, especially fathers. It is still shocking to hear the details of the system in action; the notion that it is more important for a young child to go to a particular school than live with his father...unbelievable.

Maybe meth is what it takes to raise a child with everything the world expects of him. Plus, it gives you energy to clean the garage! (sarcasm). In all seriousness, I totally expect to be drooling in the corner at times when I'm blessed with one of the little ones myself.
