Billy Graham Supports Pro-Choice Senator and Ex-President
Canada Free Press ^ | Thursday, June 30, 2005 | Nathan Tabor

Over the years I have appreciated and admired what Billy Graham has stood for and against. His integrity has been near perfect. When most evangelists have slipped or stuck their foot in their mouth Billy Graham has stood on the Word of God, without wavering.

During the past six decades, his message of Jesus Christ has been heard by over 210 million in 185 countries. He has been counsel to presidents, a passionate evangelist, a loving husband, and a caring father.

This past weekend in New York, it was Graham’s much-anticipated last revival. Instead of focusing on his revival, Graham used it as a launching pad for something else: The Clintons.

Graham and the Clintons?

Pro-Life meets Pro-Choice? Pro-Family meets Pro-Gay?

Yes, you read it right. It took me several minutes to digest the thought and I still haven’t adjusted to it. Billy Graham had my admiration and respect for his foundation in morality and values. What is he doing?

Well I am told that when I offend one in discussing the WORD and they slap me across the cheek to turn the other cheek, consider it done.

You come on this thread and slap my Christian Brother Billy Graham a thousand times across the face by accusing him of all manner of sin and even accusing him of being a false Christ and when we call you on it, you pridefully pretend that you are being slapped for Jesus' sake?

Unbelievable.

The irony (to me) is that Billy Graham has led a life of impeccable morality and transparency, which makes his love for Bill Clinton even more clearly of God.

Anyone saying that we aren't each (equally) guilty of sin and therefore undeserving of God's love and mercy, nor aren't commanded to love sinners and pray for our leaders, is ignorant of God's word....

Not unbelieveable. Just sin.

My pastor is actually a personal friend of Billy and Franklin Graham. He does attest to the fact that these guys are the real deal. There is no phoniness about either man. They are just regular guys. Billy Graham is a man who loves God and has been faithful to his calling for the last 50 years. With the devil working overtime to thwart any expression of the Gospel it is literally a miracle that Billy Graham's life is not steeped in real scandal. But it's not. It really irritates me when Christians attack this man's character. Well, when they attack his character, they are attacking mine, because I am not 1/10th the man that Billy Graham has been. He has been the front man for Evangelical Christianity for decades. He has been faithful to his calling. I know I have not always been faithful to my calling.

Billy Graham is a man we should all strive to emulate not denigrate.

"You weren't just discussing the WORD, Just. You were condemning a man of God.
And now you are denying it and playing martyr?"

A "man of God", says who, you????

I deny nothing, I simply stated that I offended you and since it is the WORD I am discussing which is what is the basis for which I speak against the Rev and the Clintons, I told you I was turning the other cheek.

Seems to me you don't know enough about the WORD to discuss it and whether or not Billy Graham is actually a man of God. Based upon WHAT are we to discern if the "spirit" is from the Heavenly Father through Christ or not. Have you never read?

Interesting how it offends you, to take the Rev to task for purporting to be one who brings to Christ, yet he gave cover to perversion???

Where can you show me BIBLICALLY that the Heavenly Father is the one who ordained the Rev??????? That is the key, show me from Christ's words or the prophets words that what the Rev did was from our Heavenly Father.

Remember Peter was the one to establish the church and Peter was told to fish out of the RIGHT side of the boat and Peter was not fishing for fish.

I absolutely agree.

I worked at his headquarters, and have a relative who is on his Crusade team (a musician), who knows him as a dear friend.

The man is the real deal. And these people are using half truths and errors to condemn him.

(btw, you don't have to agree with everything a person says to maintain deep respect for him..........something that clearly eludes these folks).

Billy Graham has been faithful to his calling, and diligent in prayer, in study of God's word, and in the way he has chosen to live his life in obedience to God.

He could have been involved in moral scandals, but chose to live a life above reproach. He could have been involved in financial scandals, but chose from the beginning to remove himself from the money aspect of his crusades, hire top notch people, receive a modest salary, and keep all his financial dealings transparent. He has never wavered in his outspoken preaching and teaching of the Cross of Christ, and our need to come to Jesus and His love.

That's why ignorant and misinformed attacks on his character and his faith cannot go unchallenged.

You obviously think a lot of yourself, but you didn't offend me. You didn't tell the truth, and THAT offends me.

You're not discussing the WORD. You are giving your own opinions about Billy Graham, and then trying to use God's word to back it up (and failing).

Sorry, Just. You're not a martyr. And you need to do some fact checking (and soul searching) before you spout off any more against a brother in Christ who has faithfully served his God for half a century, and brought thousands to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

"What sin has Bill Clinton committed that you are not willing to forgive him of?
What sin has Billy Graham committed that you are not willing to forgive him of?

What horrible sin has Billy Graham committed such that you would number him among the false Christs that Jesus spoke of in Matthew Chapter 24?

What sins have Bill Clinton and/or Billy Graham committed that you yourself have never committed?"

WE ARE ALL SINNERS!!!!!!!

That being said how does one discern if one who purports to be a man of the cloth is really who they say they are????

The instruction given comes from Christ and the prophets. Christ ask time and time again "Have you not read". Well common nobody me has taken the time to read for myself what is written and yet I still have so much to learn.

I find strange irony in the last suppose call to Christ that the Rev places upon his stage two people who did all they could to bring this nation to its belly with the serpent.

We all know that the woman upon that stage believes she is owed the pinnacle of power of this flesh world, president of the US. Now you want to tell me that it is a 'man of God' placing HIS covering over this woman, selling her like a temple prostitute, I think not.

Christ is said to be returning with a two edge sword, and it is the WORD that cuts both ways, so this lovey just love Jesus doesn't quite describe the picture.

Remember Peter was the one to establish the church and Peter was told to fish out of the RIGHT side of the boat and Peter was not fishing for fish.

It seems that you are a Catholic. Did you accuse the Pope of being a false Christ when he actually bent over and kissed the Koran? (pretty stupid in my book). Or is that not as bad a sin as standing next to Bill Clinton?

Well if you are a Catholic then that pretty much explains your negative attitude towards Billy Graham. But that still does not relieve you of your duty to love him and to love Bill Clinton, nor does it relieve you of your duty not to judge others by a standard different than that from which you expect to be judged.

Have a nice day.

He is a fake and a fraud.

I asked you in post 21 to provide some facts to back up this accusation........which you have not yet done.

I also ask you now to back up your accusation that he is a false prophet with facts...........Scriptural facts with actual quotes from Billy Graham.

So far, you have not done so at any level. You made the accusations without backing, and now are turning things around and asking for people to prove that he IS a man of God (the thousands of souls now in the Kingdom of God through his ministry are all the proof I need, and the complete consistency of his life in obedience to God........so we DO have the proof for our argument that he is a man of God).

But, you made the accusations first that he wasn't. The burden of proof is on YOU to back them up.

Do it.

Interesting take, considering that you follow a man who calls himself reverand.

Where did I not tell the truth, you keep making that baseless accusation, but then again I understand the depths one must go to prop up one who USES Christ rather than teach Christ.

Might do you well to read ICorinthians 1.

27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the - world to confound the wise; and God hath chose the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty.....

Food for thought!!!!

So you are denying all the facts about Billy Graham and his, long and faithful life, and drawing your conclusions about him based on who he stood on the stage with.....

That's all the 'proof' I need about who you are, and how seriously to take your 'argument.'

Sir I am a Christian and I have taken the time to read the WORD as instructed by Christ. Sadly you rely upon other men to do your own reading, well we individually will appear for judgment without said preacher/pastor/priest, because Christ instructed the individual.

Check out the Parable of the Sower, especially the explanation Christ gave. Do you understand that Parable????

Oh my goodness! LOL! You started the false attack in post 9 and haven't stopped since.

But, it's obvious that you aren't going to make any attempt to back up your accusations with facts about Billy Graham, and that you are ignorant both about him, and about God's word, using it to back up your own misinformed view, rather than to find out the facts.

Do a little homework on Rev. Graham's life and how consistently he has taught Christ over 50 years, and then come back and make a public apology for your misinformed attacks on him.

It might take a while, but we can give you time to get your information sorted out.......

And don't forget to spend some time in prayer as well, and read your Bible (especially the verses about pride).

Until then........

I am told to know them by their "FRUITS". Now I ask you what kind of "FRUIT" was produced by this man you call reverend when he gave bjclinton a pass for mocking God while in the White House???

You think the Heavenly Father only passes out knowledge to the reverend???? Christ said not to be deceived by any man, one must read the rest of the story to know whom Christ was talking about.

Another false accusation based on erroneous conclusions and your own pride.

Cut it out.

Without doubt, the worst of Billy Graham was the exposure of his anti-Semitic comments to President Nixon.

He has apologized for them, and has said that they do not represent his thought, that he doesn't even remember thinking the same, but that he cannot deny the evidence there on the tapes. I believe many Jewish groups have forgiven him. I, too, have forgiven.

However, it remains the most significant negative in his biography.

I need not worship at the knee of Billy Graham's life history to determine if what he claims to be of Christ is of Christ. The WORD is the standard.

Slumber on.
