Over the years I have appreciated and admired what Billy Graham has stood for and against. His integrity has been near perfect. When most evangelists have slipped or stuck their foot in their mouth Billy Graham has stood on the Word of God, without wavering.
During the past six decades, his message of Jesus Christ has been heard by over 210 million in 185 countries. He has been counsel to presidents, a passionate evangelist, a loving husband, and a caring father.
This past weekend in New York, it was Grahams much-anticipated last revival. Instead of focusing on his revival, Graham used it as a launching pad for something else: The Clintons.
Graham and the Clintons?
Pro-Life meets Pro-Choice? Pro-Family meets Pro-Gay?
Yes, you read it right. It took me several minutes to digest the thought and I still havent adjusted to it. Billy Graham had my admiration and respect for his foundation in morality and values. What is he doing?

"I'm sure that you would agree that the Jesus Christ that Graham preaches and the Jesus Christ that you believe in are not exactly the same person. Agreed?"
Unfortunately, sadly Christ did tell us there are two Christs, reason for the warning about not being deceived. We are also told of those who were placed under the "spirit" of slumber for their own protection and of those who are sent strong delusions because they choose to believe a lie. So sir I mean no disrespect because I do believe that the Heavenly Father is in control and things happen according to HIS plan.
Christ said I have foretold you all things, I am a very long way from this stature, however, I know the difference between the MILK of the Gospel and the MEAT of the Gospel.
Now you have a good day.
I take that as a "yes". And on that I agree. You and I and you and Billy clearly worship different "Christs". I'll take Billy's. You can have yours.
That seems to be the first time we've agreed on this thread. I suppose this is as good a place as any to end this discussion
I touch on Ps 22 regularly and often...just about 2 weeks ago, as a matter of fact.
Now, what's your question? I couldn't quite make it out.
" touch on Ps 22 regularly and often...just about 2 weeks ago, as a matter of fact."
This is over my head, how exactly does one "touch" on Ps 22?
"Now, what's your question? I couldn't quite make it out."
Nevermind your response answered my question.
I see clearly now that you know nothing of the Christ of the Christian Scriptures. You make up your own rules about who he is based on your own ideology (or your master's).
Thanks for the revelation. I will pray for your salvation, and that you will some day come to know the love of Jesus, the Christ, whose blood was shed for your sins, and mine.
May you some day find HIM, and have your life and words reveal the Fruit of the Spirit that you now lack.
Good day, Just.
Amen! I will worship the Christ of the Christian Scriptures as well.
Just can have his fabrication based on his 'opinion.'
Sorry. It is Just my THOUGHTS whom I meant to ping.
His "thoughts" have some serious cracks in them.....
Well, I'm fixin' to leave this location and drive to the county seat of the next county north. Business to do.
Enjoyed what limited part I had in the conversation. I really didn't know what your question was.
I Corinthians 13
LOVE
1 If I speak in the tongues[a] of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames,[b] but have not love, I gain nothing.
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, IT IS NOT PROUD. 5 IT IS NOT RUDE, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12 Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. 13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is LOVE.
I've read him reversing a few stances personally. And I have heard people say he changed others. I am not sure what to believe at the moment, as I said before, only that if these statements were to be taken at face value, I would be disappointed.
I know that Jesus is coming back with a two edged sword, and if I were you, I'd confess your sins of pride, and shamelessly bearing false witness before then.
I wouldn't want you to experience the wrath of God because you didn't display any HIS love during your lifetime.
Keep reading, son, spend time in prayer, and try to actually find out what the Scriptures say. Maybe God's truth will strike down your arrogance and pride, and you'll actually find the Jesus you THINK you've got all figured out, and accept His unfailing love for you.
I will pray for you to that end.
Those who are so quick to condemn should be ashamed.
I am slightly ashamed. And I posted on the thread where he clarifies what he said and what he meant.
I've just seen enough misquotes from so-called Christians to know not to trust any of them unless verified.
This one clearly could not be backed up with fact.....
I'm still slightly ashamed I didn't trust COMPLETELY in Graham without rock hard evidence. He's done a lot of good over the years, and I wasn't sure what to believe. ;) Well, learned a lesson for next time, eh?
The Apostle Paul told us to avoid bad companions. As far as many Christians are concerned, the Clintons go far beyond bad companions. You are the company you keep - you are the person you vote for. I am now wondering if Graham's politicial views are any different from the Clintons? Doubtful.
