I've taken them, too. I have struggled with depression since I was about 13. I took zoloft a couple of years ago and it was alright. It has yucky withdrawl symptoms and some weird side effects. I took wellbutrin for a few months last year. I loved it. I'm much better now.
That being said- some of these DUmmie comments are just stupid. It helped one someone get over their potato chip addiction?? LMAO!

I don't see anything wrong with taking antidepressants or other similar meds. (I was on them for a while, also.) But the difference here is that I don't think FReepers brag about it. We just do what we have to do to function, that's all. These people casually talk about meds the way they would talk about new clothes.
Same here (the Wellbutrin/ADD/Depression)...
For me, its like wearing glasses, and my responsibility to make sure I function as a productive member of the universe.
Plus, it saves lives (other than my own ;) )
The difference is, you'll probably never post threads on a message board gleefully comparing your meds with other FReepers. :-)
