I don't see anything wrong with taking antidepressants or other similar meds. (I was on them for a while, also.) But the difference here is that I don't think FReepers brag about it. We just do what we have to do to function, that's all. These people casually talk about meds the way they would talk about new clothes.
Good point. I have an aunt, who used to brag to my mother about how her whole family was in therapy. Let's just say, these days, she's divorced and my mother is the sister with grandchildren.
I do talk about taking Wellbutrin, but it's usually in context (threads like this, for example) or poking fun at myself.
