Dummy or Dummie? Well, I like DUmmie. . . . I like the ie ending.

You know, when I first started DUFUing last fall, I used the "-y" ending. But as I saw that PJ had a certain "thang" going here that was distinctive, I switched to his "-ie" ending. And I've never looked back. You too will be glad you've gone to the "-ie," mark my words.

And please remember to always capitalize the "U" in "DUmmie."

There has to be a point at which we give up hope for the worst cases. I can't imagine anyone who regularly posts at the DUmpster being rational, logical, or open to a different brand of thinking. Rational people, I would think, would want to keep from associating with lunacy like this, and would see the core DUmmie as we do.

I've been known to use "DUmbasses" on occasion. Come to think of it, they'd probably embrace that too. ("I AM a DUmbass!" "No, ME! I'M a DUmbass!") :)

And I agree.... there's just something.... appropriate about the "ie" as opposed to the "y".
