I believe Michael Crooks' death has been exaggerated. As I recall, it turns out that among the other idiotic things he has said and done ... he faked his death.
Let us deal with the silly twits like Crook, son. Just keep focused on the mission and stay safe. Trust me, there's a whole lot more of us who have your back than the few turds like Crook who are desperate to try anything to make our President and our military look bad. We know that we can never repay your sacrifices but you have our undying grattitude. Now, go kick some terrorist a$$!

I for one appreciate what you are doing. I have a nephew in 2nd LAR, on second deploy to the pit. I think you are going to find a lot more Americans regardless of age, politics, cultural up bringing realize you guys put your selves each day in harms way and serve without complaining. A lot more people "get it", then might be realized. 9/11 showed a lot of folks that we indeed can be attacked, and that we need a strong military. Sort of raddled their brains a bit, into the reality of things. Heres prayerfully wishing you and all your buddies a safe return, and God speed to hop off the airplane ladder onto the tramac at Cherry Point soon!
As the :/MSM have little choice then to throw in some news of lately that things are improving in Iraq, most Americans surely at this point, can appreciate it never would have happened if you guys where not there to make it so.

For many it may be silent prayers, some counter-protest to show support, many have the ever present ribbons and "support our troops" on any space we can find, some greet at the bases when our beloved soldiers arrive safely back home, some visit the military hospitals, some organize letters and packages, some write on the internet, some shed tears, not just at the death of a fallen or injured soldier, but out of a sense of love, respect and gratitude and an overwhelming pride that they don't know how to express.
Sadly, the one thing we can not do for you, is make the media and the @#%^$@&$#& sympathizers shut up. I hope it is enough to know that there are millions of us believing in our military, believing in the mission, and supporting you in our hearts and our prayers. God bless you and your unit, and all of our troops, until you arrive safely back home, to a grateful nation.
