TERRI SCHINDLER (Schiavo)DAILIES May 11, 2005: DEMAND IMPEACHMENT OF JUDGE GREER

Freerepublic.com has a super-sized archive regarding Terri Schiavo. The Dailies thread is a digest of breaking news, venting, ranting, photos, prayers, poetry, contact numbers and serve as a meeting place. The daily thread runs itself for the most part.

Please put your links regarding justice for Terri on this thread or articles re: people who are waking up all the time and speaking because they've been given new treatments. Terri was denied a chance to eat by mouth at the end and she was denied new groundbreaking tests by Judge Greer. Instead, he stuck to his guns that she would be starved and dehydrated beginning on March 18th. What a man. It takes a big man to starve an innocent woman to death. This was ALL AGAINST THE FLORIDA STATUTES.

EXPOSURE IS ON THE HORIZON: Mark Fuhrman's book will be available at www.amazon.com by the end of June, 2005. Another book by Cheryl Ford, RN will be available soon.

The GOP is getting phone calls but they are not listening to their constituents on the issue of George Greer. Does the GOP endorse judicial tyranny? Ask them. Find out.

Possibly we can mend a divide in the Republican Party that is turning into a dangerous crevasse by demanding the impeachment of Judge George Greer, Sixth Circuit Court, Pinellas County, Florida.

If that sounds radical, please note that the democrats are in trouble as well for not saving Terri's life.

Greer had super powers over the Governor of Florida, over the US Congress, the President and over the FDLE. Greer who was in defiance of the US Congress and President is the one who needs investigation and impeachment but the RINO's in Tallahassee are reluctant to do their duty.

If Terri was killed because of money and power, let us find out how RINOS like Senator Jim King went into battle against Terri with the death lobby and the national trial lawyers. Senator Jim King of Duval County should not get a pass either, not ever.

Point of View

Too eager to deal out death and judgment By JAMES B. TEELA

Guest Writer

Published May 12, 2005

Would you be presumptuous enough to think you can know the condition of another person’s heart? The prophet Jeremiah tells us, “The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?” (Jeremiah 17:9). This being true, how could we begin to even suggest that we know the heart of another when we can’t even know our own?

Even bolder yet, would you be self-confident enough to take personal responsibility for the eternity of another person’s soul? We live in an age crowded with false doctrine. Consequently, there is confusion rather than certainty about eternal life. While the apostle John tells us that it is quite possible to have eternal assurance for our own soul through faith in Christ (1 John 5:13), it is impossible to indisputably discern the sincerity of another’s relationship with God.

Just a little over a month ago, the whole world, it seemed, watched as Michael Schiavo contended that he both knew the desire of his wife’s heart and the destiny of her soul. With his relentless determination to remove Terri Schiavo’s feeding tube, he brazenly took responsibility for sending her soul to either eternal rest with God—or eternal separation from God.

While there are likely none that wish for the latter, the fact remained that none of us can really be sure. In the aftermath of Terri Schaivo’s death, we must never lose sight of the fact that a woman’s very soul was in play—manipulated by those who presumed to know the eternal consequences of their decisions. What then would drive Michael Schaivo to prematurely risk placing his wife’s soul into eternal peril? Wouldn’t it have been better to instead err on the side of caution, hope and possibility?

Without debasing the serious nature of this tragedy, I am reminded of a powerful scene in the movie, “The Fellowship of The Ring,” in which the wizard, Gandalf, counsels the young hobbit, Frodo, on just such a matter as this.

In their quest to destroy the ring of power, Frodo and his eight companions find themselves traversing the inner bowels of the Misty Mountains through what are known as the Mines of Moria. While stopping to take a rest in the dark cavernous passages, Frodo is alarmed at the distant sight of an unknown creature, slinking in the dark recesses of the mines. Gandalf calmly informs Frodo that it is Gollum, the wretched creature from which Frodo’s Uncle Bilbo had originally obtained the ring so many years before. Distressed that Gollum has escaped captivity and is now following them, Frodo presumptuously states, “It’s a pity Bilbo didn’t kill him when he had the chance.”

Taken aback by Frodo’s impulsive verdict, Gandalf quickly challenges his young friend with a memorable and thoughtful response: “Pity? It was pity that stayed Bilbo’s hand. Many that live deserve death and some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them Frodo? Do not be too eager to deal out death and judgment. Even the very wise can’t see all ends.”

With the courts refusing to stay Michael Schiavo’s hand, Terri Schiavo gave up her last breath March 31 after being cruelly starved and dehydrated to death. With this, it became painfully obvious that Gandalf was all too right. Many, it seems, are too eager to deal out death and judgment.

Michael Schiavo, who had waged a years-long court battle to remove his wife’s feeding tube, was too eager to deal out death and judgment.

Circuit Court Judge George Greer, while none too eager to reopen discovery in the case, was instead all too eager to deal out death and judgment. With the removal of Terri’s feeding tube, Judge Greer ordered the death of an innocent woman based on nothing more than inconclusive medical evidence and the testimony of an unfaithful husband.

Behind Michael Schiavo and Judge Greer were a chorus of secular politicians, the ACLU and a host of state and federal court judges who were either shockingly indifferent or all too eager to deal out death and judgment.

Ignoring the heartbroken pleas of Terri’s immediate family, or the possibility that God could eventually provide miraculous healing, those who were eager to deal out death and judgment doggedly pursued Terri Schiavo’s demise right down to the bitter end.

Presuming the condition of one’s soul is very perilous ground. Today, only God and Terri Schiavo know beyond a shadow of a doubt the status of her eternity. While there is no question surrounding the diligence and tenacity with which Mr. Schiavo pursued his objective, it is also dangerous to even begin to try and understand or judge the motives of his heart (1 Corinthians 4:5).

One can only rest in the fact that Michael Schiavo will eventually stand before a holy and just God to give an account (Romans 14:12 and Hebrew 4:13). In the meantime, it is a sad irony that a fictitious wizard in tattered gray robes is wiser than a multitude of real-life judges adorned in black robes. Even in our judicial system, the very wise can’t see all ends.

To say there need to be professionals who know how to wage a campaign is an slap in the face to all the professionals who gave so much of their time and talents already. They were up against incredible odds and one and all are still shocked that nobody saved Terri.

The failures to date were by our government, not by Terri's supporters. I'll defend every last one of her supporters, whether they were professionals or average Joes.

Now, please stop trying to analyze me because that's a slap in my face. Deal?

Reuters - Satan no match for God, says pope

Wednesday, May 11, 2005 Posted: 8:05 AM EDT (1205 GMT)

Pope Benedict: "The Lord is supreme arbiter of history."

VATICAN CITY (Reuters) -- Satan is still at work in the world unleashing "evil energy" but God will be the final arbiter of history, Pope Benedict XVI said on Wednesday.

Speaking at the third general audience since his election last month, the pope also said that nations and leaders had to look for God's hand in history in the past and learn from it.

"History, in fact, is not in the hands of dark forces, left to chance or just human choices," he told thousands of people in St. Peter's Square.

"Above the unleashing of evil energy, above the vehement interruptions of Satan, above the so many scourges of evil, rises the Lord, supreme arbiter of history," the pope said in an address reflecting on the Book of Revelation in the Bible.

He urged Catholics to look for and recognise what he called "hidden divine interventions in history".

The 78-year-old German Pope, elected on April 19, again mingled with people in the crowd at the end of the audience.

He stopped to talk to handicapped people and personally greeted dozens of well-wishers.

Continuing in the tradition of his predecessor, John Paul II, he delivered the address in Italian and read summaries or greetings in some 10 other languages.

Conservatives throwing dinner for DeLay

By SHARON THEIMER. Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A political associate faces ethics questions, declining poll numbers and a possible congressional investigation. Would you want to stand in front of television cameras talking about how great he is? If you are part of Washington's conservative establishment and the associate is House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, that is exactly what you would do.

Leaders of about a dozen conservative groups planned a gala on Thursday honoring the Texas Republican and they pledged to open the doors to every major news organization in town. DeLay was to be the final speaker.

Richard Lessner, executive director of the American Conservative Union, said the event's participants have looked at the issues and questions raised about DeLay and "don't think any of them rise to any level of gravity whatsoever."

"This is a political campaign by his enemies. Well, we're his friends," Lessner said. "And when your friend is under attack you come to his aid and you stand with him, and that's what we mean to do."

The $250-per-plate event at the Capital Hilton has sold out. About 900 people were expected. The proceeds will be used to pay for the dinner, organizers said.

About three-dozen House and Senate Republicans planned to attend, including DeLay's deputy, House Majority Whip Roy Blunt of Missouri. President Bush and Vice President Cheney were not invited, but appearances by officials from the Republican National Committee including Chairman Ken Mehlman were expected, Lessner said.

"This is not a White House deal," Lessner said. "This is the conservative movement showing support for Tom DeLay. This isn't establishment."

The ethics questions DeLay faces from Democrats and other critics stem in part from foreign trips he took that were arranged by Jack Abramoff, a lobbyist accused of defrauding tribal clients of millions of dollars. Abramoff is facing a federal grand jury investigation and an inquiry by the Senate Indian Affairs Committee.

DeLay has portrayed the ethics questions raised about him as an attempt by liberals to smear him. He also has the House ethics committee to review his travel records. DeLay is encouraged by the support from leaders of the conservative movement, spokesman Dan Allen said.

"He looks forward to addressing them tomorrow night and appreciates them standing strong with him as he continues to be attacked by Democrats and their liberal allies," Allen said.

A poll released last month by the Houston Chronicle found support for DeLay has dropped dramatically in his district. DeLay was not the only event participant affected by the Abramoff investigations.

Americans for Tax Reform, a group run by gala organizer and DeLay and Abramoff political associate Grover Norquist, has been subpoenaed by the Senate committee.

Other conservative leaders who planned to attend the dinner include Charlie Black, a Republican consultant with close ties to the White House; former presidential candidate Gary Bauer, head of American Values; Ed Fuelner of the Heritage Foundation; Paul Weyrich of the Free Congress Foundation; Morton Blackwell of the Leadership Institute; and the Rev. Lou Sheldon of the Traditional Values Coalition.

To wage a successful campaign to get a Congressional Investigation going and get Justice for Terri, it would be a good idea to involve proven professional campaigners and PR managers. With all the attention Terri and her case received, I'll bet several of the best might be interested.

THAT is no slight upon Terri's supporters, whom I FULLY supported (especially the ones on this forum) and of which I was one.

You read FAR too much into that comment, fv, which was a reference more to the present than the past.

I understand FULL WELL how GUILTY the GOVERNMENT was in this matter and that the GOVERNMENT BEARS the FULL BURDEN of the GUILT. I have my own rather BIG case against the government which I and another have been waging for six years and understand the pitfalls that can be encountered through no fault of the victims. Thus, I have a better idea than many, what it will take to SUCCESSFULLY hold one or more persons accountable for her death particularly with the level of resistance the government is currently mounting.

I have read much about the Schindler's initially being outlawyered. If there is truth to that (and I understand full well how it happened and don't fault anyone), it is a something that cannot be repeated. When the Schindlers started, no one knew about Terri's case. That is presently not the situation. Terri's case is well known and that notoriety should be used to the utmost advantage. We need nothing but the best of help and advice this time around. We MUST succeed. We CANNOT FAIL.

As far as the defense of Terri's supporters is concerned, I have spent a good deal of time defending them myself and VERY recently as anyone can judge for themselves when they review my comments. Stop making Terri's supporters and defense of Terri's supporters the primary issue. It isn't.

I would appreciate it very much. I thought we had a thread with that title but didn't find it in a search.
Thanks!!

My approach to this murder of an innocent woman by the judiciary, will be to vote no every time I am asked whether a judge should be retained or not. Throw the bums out, all of them.

It will be a political disaster if Greer is 'not' impeached.

What's the sentiment in the Florida legislature about Greer?

Seems to me it would be more valuable to spend time changing the Florida law that allowed him to do what he did.

There are some who supprt it, how many we don't know for sure.

Any efforts to change the law will be opposed by the same ones who voted against Terri in March. The Florida Nine will do what they can to preserve Sen. Jim King's "legacy".

LifeNews.com has an article about the judges.

"U.S. District Judge James Whittemore twice went against Congressional legislation that required halting Terri Schiavo's painful starvation death."

"...Santorum also criticized Circuit Court Judge George Greer for ignoring subpoenas Congress."
