MINUTEMEN SCHEDULE CHICAGO DEMONSTRATION
Monday May 2nd 2005 6:30pm.

Illinois Minutemen who have just returned from the Arizona/Mexico border, Cochise County have now set up a watch in their home state of Illinois.
These Minutemen and other Illegal Immigration activists will be protesting the immigration voting record of State Senator Steve Rauschenberger (R-Elgin) who is a potential candidate for Governor of Illinois.
Rick Biesada a member of the Minutemen group says “we are here to educate the good people of Illinois about Steve Rauschenberger’s voting record and also to hold his feet to the because of his latest vote.
The Minutemen say Mr. Rauschenberger must be held accountable for undermining the rule of law with his vote in May 2003 to provide instate tuition to illegal aliens and for his April vote authorizing the state of Illinois to recognize unsecured foreign ID cards like the matricula consular, which the FBI declared in June 2003 to be "an unreliable form of identification."
Now we are going to protest this pandering politician and I could sure use some ideas for good protest signs. Pease help by giving your sign suggestions!!!!

What do you mean BAD NEIGHBORHOOD! I had friends who lived there a few years back. That area is now Gay and Yuppie central (part of Wrigleyville, Lakeview).
They should go straight to Cicero or Melrose Park, which effectively have a majority population of illegal aliens.

Suggestion for a sign:
Illegal aliens cost American taxpayers 68 billion dollars every year!
People tend to listen when you're talking about their pocketbooks.
How about this:
*Coming soon to an emergency room (or hospital) near you*
with a picture of a bunch of illegals crossing the border.
As you know as a fellow Oregonian we have had a huge influx of migrants here on the Oregon Coast.
We have four INS holds in our county jail right now.
Unheard of a year ago.
I notice the males seem to be latching on to the young not so attractive girls. I can only assume why.
However there is no possible way to know who are here as migrant or illegals.
How is it in your neck of the woods or in the "valley"?
The minutemen proved to be just what they said they would be.
I was leary after the guy who had a group in the past down there seemed unstable in ways from what I can remember about the posts back then about two years ago.
Protect our borders and coastlines from all foreign invaders!
