I signed up for email alerts from our local sexual offender website several weeks ago after seeing so many stories about children being taken or killed by sexual offenders. Well....this morning I got an email notifing me that there was a registered sexual offender across the street. The website says he was charged with gross sexual conduct with a minor. We have a four year old child and I am now very uneasy living here. I can see the home this man lives in from my front window. And of course he can see ours. Our homes are directly across from one another. What would you do? The website has a message at the bottom that states that this man is to have no contact with children and that children should not be near his home/yard. Which is fine, our daughter has never been allowed to play unsupervised at anytime. We are always with her and she has never been allowed to just go to someones house without us. But there are plenty of kids who run these streets alone....without parents or supervision. Some of them are as young as two years old. This makes my stomach turn. Advice?
Well, we both know that won't happen, any other solutions?
If we want to avoid the prospect of "street justice," then we need to lock 'em up for good. Life without parole.
Even child molestors say the impulse never leaves them to molest children (prison and therapy doesn't stop the urge).
They see help in the form of AA for child molestors. Personally, I'd like a law that permits us to kill them on the spot. No second chances!
I hate about every Federal everything except defense.

I'd move and AFTER I moved tell the neighbors and new owners AFTER they purchase your house. It's not worth the risk to stay there.

Make sure those parents KNOW about this freak before you do anything.
Thankfully, it will happen essentially in our era. Some think before 2014. We shall see.
I just believe it will happen before the last person dies who saw Israel become a Nation again in a day as Scriptures predicted.

Talk to ANYONE in law enforcement.
These people NEVER reform and will prey again if the chance arises.

It's against the law to put things in people's mail boxes without sending it through the postal service. Best thing would be to go door to door, I guess, or hand them out somewhere.
Heard that, too. Even that pos Couey that killed Jessica Lunsford admitted that he he couldn't change.
Where do you live? We will let him know that he can live peacefully as your neighbor, because you trust him to have changed.
