WASHINGTON, March 23 /Christian Wire Service/ -- The 11th Hour Coalition to Save Terri Schiavo's Life will hold simultaneous press conferences -- Wednesday, March 23 -- at 12 noon in Washington, D.C., and Tallahassee, Fla.
This ad hoc partnership of religious and political organizations -- which will gather in front of the White House and the Florida governor's mansion -- will call on President George W. Bush and Gov. Jeb Bush to use their executive powers to protect Terri Schiavo from starvation.
"There are two people in the United States who can save Terri Schiavo's life right now. The president of the United States and the governor of Florida have the authority to use the police services at their disposal to take Terri into protective custody, restore her food and hydration, and arrest anyone who would interfere," said Dr. Paul Schenck, executive director of the National Pro-Life Action Center on Capitol Hill. "For the sake of Terri's life, we cannot afford to wait while the courts dither over jurisdiction."
Dr. Paul Schenck, National Pro-Life Action Center on Capitol Hill
Coalition Members appearing at the press conference:
-- Fr. Frank Pavone, Priests for Life
-- Stephen G. Peroutka, Esq., Face the Truth TV & Radio
-- Fr. Thomas Euteneuer, Human Life International
-- Michael A. Peroutka, Esq., Institute on the Constitution -- Rev. Greg Cox, Faith and Action
-- Rev. Stephen Cox, Gospel of Life Ministries

The executive branch has the duty to enforce the law.
I was not aware that Father Frank would in Tallahassee or Washington at that time.
One member of Priests for Life has been at the Hospice in Pinellas Park. This priest has to leave their today.
Another member has been in Tallahassee and he is leaving tomorrow.
By the same powers that Eisenhower sent 1,000 troops from the 101st Airborne to Little Rock and placed another 10,000 Arkansas National Guardsmen under their command.
And just like Bobby Kennedy sent the FBI into the South to guarantee 'civil rights'. And IIRC RFK & Jack used the US Army also.
Amen! And and excellent reply...:-)
Agreed. Believe Bush said "It's better to err on the side of life". C'mon W, walk the talk.
She is an American Citizen and the President has the DUTY to protect. President Bush says it in his speech of protecting Americans from harm. I have faith Bush will step in and save her.

note: the above is not a real ad..just an example of what you might see after Terri dies..but who knows..is there a market in this now?
Please President Bush..save Terri.
Get a grip.
I'm very much afraid you're correct.
Terri will lose her life; but in losing, she will ultimately win. She is an innocent martyred and will therefore soon be home with God. This is NOT over by a long shot. I predict a backlash against this will overshadow the Homo marriage reaction in 2004.
Conservative judges will be confirmed, and laws will be passed against this kind of abuse.
WHAT WE SOW AS A NATION, THAT SHALL WE ALSO REAP!
What law is not being enforced? It seems to me, if either the Governor or the President step in and overturn the courts, it will be they who are breaking the law.
What was the danger when Justice Tany announced the Supreme Court decision that black Americans had no rights that needed to be respected by the American government? Can you spell civil war? When the consensus on fundamental life and liberty issues underlying our constitutional system is not upheld by our courts, like in this case and in abortion cases, then our whole system of ordered liberty is at stake. It is that consensus, not any individual law that protects our life against arbitrary abuse by governmental authority.
Yes, executive authority should be used to save this woman's life. There are any number of "excuses" that could be invented including regulations on health care facilities against patient abuse and neglect. Clinton "invented" such an excuse and the public swallowed it and the nation didn't collapse. We must demonstrate that the popular consensus against government ordered and sanctioned murder of innocent citizens continues to exist --that "we the people" will not tolerate this. Liberal's can't complain because they loved it when Clinton interrupted a custody case in process in the courts to kidnap Elian at gunpoint.
JUDGES IN FLORIDA MAY MURDER ANYONE EXCEPT SOMEONE WHO RAPES AND MURDERS (again a special role of the Judges to the lawyers).
If President Bush did so, he would be no better than that scumbag Clinton!
And he is better than that.
I believe Terri should be save, but not by a police state!
"If this is done, what will stop Big Brother from making other arbitrary decisions for us?"
Are you sure "big brother" is not the judicial branch?
I personally disagree with the removal of the feeding tube. I will even discuss my reasons with people who disagree. But I am not going to attack people because of their opinions, and I am certainly in opposition to mob rule. Once that is accepted as the norm, we will have all sorts of problems in this country.
Then blame Congress for the failure to enforce their subpoena.
Instead of throwing rocks they should throw the bottles of water.
Today is the last day of the Florida Legislation. Seven senator may possible change their minds about the life of terri. Call them at,
Anthony Hill Sr. 850-487-5024
Gary Siplin 850-487-5190
Alex Villalobos 850-487-5130
Larcenia J. Bullard 850-487-5127
Walter Campbell Jr. 850-487-5094
Nancy Argenziano 850-487-5017
Burt L. Saunders 850-487-5124
That's where it is now...only he or Jeb can stop this Easter week travesty.
Pretty ironic, huh?
