From Larry King Live Aired October 27, 2003 - 21:00 ET

CALLER: Yes. Does it bother you that the death is so slow? Maybe Dr. Kevorkian-style would be a faster, more peaceful way?

SCHIAVO: Removing somebody's feeding is very painless. It is a very easy way to die. Probably the second better way to die, being the first being an aneurysm.

And it doesn't bother me at all. I've seen it happen. I had to do it with my own parents.

I live in NYS so I don't know.

What I do know is that if the FL legislature allows this to happen, their state can kiss any business of ours goodbye. Forever.

Eric Hogue in Sacramento (KTKZ) just interviewed the Florida state senator who is the bill's sponsor. The senator said they will take it up today at 1 p.m. EST. It would make it illegal -- just like with "service animals" -- to withhold water and food from a human being and would be implemented immediately.

Time is short -- get on the phone now!

If they vote to save Terri the state of Florida will become known for something other than the state that let John Cooey run around free.

Ok, tried to call them again, got in touch with one office, Alexanders! The rest were all busy, which is good. That means they are being flooded with calls, keep em going!

SCHIAVO: Removing somebody's feeding is very painless.

Well, golly, that means Ebeneezer Scrooge was right! Let's rid ourselves of the "excess population."

Apparently, starving to death is a painless, happy experience. We can recommend it to Somalia, Bangladesh, Sudan.....

seems like they'd better do it before the Supremes foreclose it

incidentally, what are the options once the supremes diss the Schindlers?

Criminals get off on technicalities. But no-one will err on the side of life for Terri. The perp that killed that little girl ran around free, and Terri Schiavo gets a death sentence.

Nice state they've got down there.

Since its not torture, and a quite lovely way to die, wouldn't it be cheaper and quicker to use this method for the death penalty?
