There will be more bad surprises for Michael Schiavo supporters, just like the bad surprises that keep hitting the Clinton supporters.

I googled her name; Ann Coulter wrote
an article and mentioned her case.

Yahoo is a very useful site. You should bookmark it and go there when you have questions like this, that way people won't think you're so obtuse. With billions of pages of information at your fingertips across the internet, demanding a source is pretty much like closing your eyes and whining, "I can't see it."

Both of Judge Greer's parents passed away in 1991, when he was a Pinellas County Commissioner involved in your typical swampland chicanery. Suddenly, in 1992, Greer decided to leave the commission and run for the bench, backed by an awful lot of donor money. I don't know how all this fits together, exactly, but it is an interesting framework.
Does anyone know if either -- or, hell, both -- of Greer's parents' deaths were euthanasia-related?
The more you delve into Greer, Schiavo, Felos and Pinellas County, the deeper the muck gets.
By the way, speaking of Felos, please enjoy his attorney wife's commentary on "bringing a lawsuit with love."

I believe these people are deeply crooked, and deeply nuts. Always a deadly, if entertaining, combination.

Well, excuuuuuse me. Usually, a source is included in a post. "E-mail" is hardly a credible source, unless you are the kind who believes you can lose 30 pounds in five days without dieting. However, a very polite Freeper provided Ann Coulter as a source and I am perfectly satisfied. No need to get so huffy!

I can understand the difficulty of obtaining a restraining order, as I went through similar difficulties years ago, and it does happen. I am completely dismayed in our "justice" system, allowing all of the power over someone's life, to rest in the hands of one judge. If her husband "loved" her, why has he not tried therapy. If he just wants to get on with his life, which is understandable, why has he not divorced and allowed Terry's parents to care for her? What is up with this judge, and with Michael Schaivo? I will be doing further reading and researching of this topic as you all are. It is too important to let "slide"
Thank you for your posts!

Why in the world is this man sitting on the bench?

Welcome to Free Republic.
Your post was rude, e. When posting a thread it is wise and necessary to post the source/link.

I've heard of this case.
Maybe Hollywood should make it into a movie.

Greer was a Democrat who changed parties to GOP to keep getting elected to office.

PING:
"Imagine for a moment that you are a Circuit Court Judge. A terrified woman comes before your Court pleading for her life. She testifies, under oath, that her violent and demented husband raped her, set her clothes on fire and threatens to kill her. She needs your help and petitions your court for an Injunction for Protection. What would you do? Well, this is what a real Circuit Court Judge of the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida; by the name of Judge George W. Greer decided.
He actually had this exact case come before his bench seven years ago, when Helene Ball McGee, from Dunedin Florida pleaded with him to grant her an Injunction for Protection. Helene was in absolute fear for her life. Judge George W. Greer, however, refused to help her, because (according to him) she had not shown him ìenough proofî that her husband was physically violent yet. Two weeks later her deranged husband, Bobby Lane McGee, stabbed her to death."

From Ann Coulters column:
http://www.jewishworldreview.com/cols/coulter111403.asp
"Judge Greer's finding on Terri's wishes may be immune from legal review, but it's not immune from criticism. He's a finder of fact he's not God.
A few years ago, Judge Greer found that Helene Ball McGee did not have reasonable cause to believe domestic violence was imminent and denied her an order of protection. Two weeks later, Mrs. McGee was stabbed to death by her husband. So judges can make mistakes."
