MADD doesnt care if you were drinking responsibly, or that your behavior was entirely legal. As one past MADD president stated (and others have paraphrased), There is no safe blood alcohol level, and for that reason responsible drinking means no drinking and driving. And over the last five years, General Motors has spent more than $3 million supporting this neo-prohibitionist agenda.
MADD has been using its multimillion-dollar budget to agitate for lower drunk driving arrest thresholds and roadblocks, and to conduct PR campaigns designed to frighten responsible adults out of drinking anything before driving. Does this reduce drunk driving? No. Statistics and common sense confirm that the drunk driving problem is overwhelmingly caused by alcohol abusers, and that persecuting responsible adults does nothing to save lives.
As part of its agreement with MADD, General Motors has become a vocal opponent of any drinking before driving.
Think about that before your next car or truck purchase.
The blame for drunk driving belongs with drunk drivers. Not GM or any other maker of automobiles.
That is great!
I'm joining DAMM - Drunks Against Mad Mothers.
Series-usly though, most driving impaired T/Cs are caused by those with prior DUIs and have repeatedly been arrested and then released via the judicial system.
The average Joe that has three beers before coming home from work is not a significant factor.
And our wine...;-)
Absolutely my friend...
Still at it I see.

Now he has a 'prior'...
DUI is such a cash cow in this county (El Dorado) that no less than 3 agencies (CHP, Sheriff, and local goons) may be popping the CP's on any given week-end night up here.
Maybe it was George Carlin who asked "If drinking and driving is against the law, why do they have parking lots in front of bars??"
thanks for the heads up...
(belatedly)
I've been telling people that MADD is basically prohibitionist. now maybe they'll believe me...
