After it seizes territory in war, it sets up a free and democratic government, it PAYS substantial aid to get that nation back on its feet. And then America withdraws.

Case in point: The Marshall Plan. A little known but amazing fact about the Marshall Plan was that aid money was offered to the Soviet Union after the War to help it get back on its feet economically but Stalin, suspicious about the offer, turned it down.

Yeah, that whole Gannon thing over in DUmmieland is cracking me up. They accused Gannon of being gay and think he will be arrested for that and somehow this will be the KEY to bringing down the EVIL Bush Regime. Oh, and they have all sorts of Gannon conspiracy theories over there. Lately they are getting incredibly ANGRY and FRUSTRATED that the Gannon story is going NOWHERE.

Gasoline became brutally expensive and the American economy struck yet another reef. The American populace, by and large, fell into what could be called a mass depression, described by the last president of the second American empire as ‘malaise.’

Liberals can't bare to say Jimmy Carter's name when talking about the Depression of the 70's. And they hate it even worse when people point out that a Republican cleaned up Carter's mess and restored hope to the people.

He pretty much showed what liberals hate and fear the most in that statement. Conservatives, talk radio, guns and traditional families.
