If you live in Maine or are planning on coming to Maine, you need to read this!!!

Maine is amongst the three lowest paid states in the country, it is amongst the three highest taxed states in the country, and therefore by default amongst the worst managed states in the country. We in Maine work to hard for our money and have to little money to be able to afford being ripped off at the grocery store.

Not very long ago, if you found that you were being over charged at one of the giants they would give you the over priced product free and take a dollar off the over all bill, then they started only giving you the item or the dollar off, which ever was lower, now all they will do is correct the mistake on your bill. Why? Why have they gone form giving you the item free and a dollar to nothing more than correcting the price? The answer is logically simple, they got caught to many times.

Yesterday the publisher of this paper went to one of the giants, not Hannaford, since Hannaford has chosen to go out of their way to insult Christians, the Boy Scouts of America and the heterosexual community, none of us at Christian-news-in-Maine.com has stepped foot in a Hannaford, not even to use the bathroom.

In this store, one of the giants, five items were marked one price and rang up at much higher prices.

Fish: the sign read $3.00 a pound it rang up as 5.99 a pound. ...

This is not an isolated case, this is becoming the rule not the exception.

I see that's becoming a problem again. Why is it in the coffee industry, a pound is now seven ounces???

Well, you start off riffing on the govt. but your complaint seems to be against the stores. My question would be, why do the stores have to give you anything if they overcharge you? Seems to me making it right is all they should be required to do. You're complaining because the stores are changing their policy? I didn't read the entire post but I'm guessing your remedy is a law, by the very govt. you say is incompetent.

And for all that money, their schools aren't that great, either. I found two gramatical errors in the article.

Please do. While the original LL Bean was a true conservationist, as was Teddy Roosevelt, the current LL Bean crowd is strictly Democraps. While I still stop in freeport on my way up the coast, I stop for lunch and a pit stop, but not to shop. LL Bean lost me as a customer when they backed Kerry and did not respond to my Email about it.
